I love Tampa Bay because it is hard to brand for the big marketing companies. There are many large companies that showcase the features about our bay, but they failt to bright light to the best benefit of our Tampa Bay, and that is the people that live here. whats with the horrible traffic/drivers here? I am here for 6 weeks and it's awful. What's the deal with all the honkers??? I can't even figure out what they are honking for!!!! I think they just like to do it, feels like I am in NY.

The answer to your question..........BORICUAS!!! Florida is full of boricuas and they drive so bad, they want to drive however they want just like they used to do in Puerto Rico. They don't respect driving laws.

No Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida. Tampa bay makes up the surrounding areas and includes St. Pete and Clearwater so the pop is larger. Tampa the city itself has a population of about 400,000 give or take.
The miami metro is close to 4 million, the tampa metro is like 2 and a half million. Miami is much bigger then Tampa all the way around were did you get your stats from?

Add those up to get your urban population of Tampa Bay. To get your metropolitan population you must include all of Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. Some unofficial reports include Pasco county and the Sarasota area to make it even bigger.
Miami is usually the city that gets all of the attention in Florida. I had no idea Tampa Bay was actaully the most populated metro-area in the state ....

No the City of Tampa only has like 286,000 something but the metro is like 3.9million or so and Miami metro is like 6 million.tampa is nice

actually as cities themselves according to the u.s. census tampa has a population of 400,023. While the city of Miami has a population of 417,352.
the miami metropolitan area has a population of 4.1 million, and the tampa bay metropolitan has a population of 3.9 million.
the cities are very similar in size when it comes to populations, but miami has larger industry.
