  • Superm1998 wow Sade

  • Bobwatters suck a dick

  • Trans am :DDDDDd *drool

  • Can someone explain in details what exact did in the beginning??

  • @yungburrgariansmker A brakestand? If that's what you're referring to... He put it in gear, took it up to the desired RPM and dumped the clutch. Right after he dumped the clutch he got on the brakes... so he was simultaneously giving it gas and on the brakes. This is called a brakestand, essentially a burnout but standing still.

  • well done, well done

  • what time and mph?

  • Granny shifting not double clutching like you should

Lucky that 100 shots of nos didn't blow the welds on the intake

Now me and the mad scientist have to rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you fried

  • be better off to get a gm powerglide transmission with a shiftnoid

  • @hodgeezee but he decided to have balls and get a manual.

  • damn them Pontiac's looked like shit on the inside. they are the worst lookin interiors of the 90's by far! awesome shifting but still just looks so terrible inside it makes me sick!

  • Fortunately his brakes didnt fail.

  • Man 3rd to 4th was beautiful

  • and I've had one of those. They aren't that easy to shift fast.

  • this is faster then automatic gearbox

  • @vidokas123 faster than auto with shift kit either.

  • This is an old video.. from the late 90's. The car is a dark green LT1 Formula. He and others had a ton of videos on Lugnutz.com back in the day.

  • i would say the only reason powershiting looks shitter is because its done i slow crappy cars, if this guy done powershifting i bet he would be faster, i dont know about more smooth

  • god damn nicely done sir

  • dude u were hawlin some serious ass!!!

  • nice power shifting, not hard, just takes LOTS of practice. I used to just tap the clutch and let my foot slide off so my leg isnt letting the clutch out, the pressure plate is. Push in with your foot and let the pedal "fall" off the edge.

  • yeah, right... real nice shifting. if he only hadn't stalled it in the beginning...

  • i think i can shift that fast

  • Yea you gotta be relaxed with the shifting hand cuz sometimes if you try to "force" it in, it gets caught up. Its much better to just let it kinda slide in itself rather than guide it if that makes sense.

  • ok idk much about manual but i learned that you have to let off the clutch smooth and slow right? how is this guy just letting off without messing up?

  • @AmazingSuperStar1 You can "dump" the clutch on any vehicle, but it causes more stress on the driveline.

From a stop, if you "dump" the clutch, 1 of 2 things will happen. 1) you will stall the motor, or 2) you will squeal the tires until the car's speed matches the tire speed

Also, you can actually damage the clutch if you let off too slow, especially if your RPMs are too high. Whenever you are letting off slow, you are softening the "hit" to the driveline, but wearing out the clutch.

  • @l337pwnage how come some cars stall but others don't?

  • @AmazingSuperStar1 To keep it basic, cars have different weights, tires, and horsepower. The weight of the car and the tires determine how much horsepower it takes to ether move the car or break the tires loose. When you "dump" the clutch, if the engine at that time is producing more horsepower than what it takes to move the car or break the tires loose, then the car will move and/or break loose the tires.

If, however, the engine is not producing enough horsepower, then the car will stall.

  • @l337pwnage sorry for all the questions (i'm new to this stuff), but if i was in a normal car and was at the right rpm i wouldn't stall if i dumped the clutch?

  • @AmazingSuperStar1 Correct, assuming you have enough power. Most cars have enough power to dump the clutch, but there are some cars that just do not have enough power.

When learning to take off fast, I would not recommend just "dumping" the clutch until you are used to the vehicle. In other words, practice taking off slow at first, then release the clutch a little faster each time. Doing that lets you learn how much throttle it takes, you will have to press the gas a little harder each time.

  • @l337pwnage

Shouldnt "horsepower" be replaced with "torque" here?

  • @Simbstah Well, that would be more accurate, but horsepower, or power, is more recognizable by most people and I was trying to keep it as simple as possible. We aren't doing any dynamics equations here. ;)

  • @l337pwnage

Ah, just wanted to know that i wasnt retarded.. :P

  • @l337pwnage if you have awd and you launch your car your head is hitting the seat lol

  • @AmazingSuperStar1 Considering how sticky his tires were and how much power he was producing he probably had a racing spec clutch, they just don't slip, once the clutch dumps it hits the fly wheel and doesn't let go. However this would not be good at all for daily driving as it would lock with the fly wheel when you try to get rolling and stall you. Well unless you have the tach needle pinned, then the cops might not like you for smoking in public..

  • WHAT

  • ok everyone keeps saying camaro, but is it just my computer or does the steering wheel have a pontiac emblem in the middle of it? only reason i ask is cause me fire bird has the exect same steering, center console, radio, dashboard, etc. just asking i may be wrong

  • @Throwinup772 You are correct, its a Firebird Formula, but people sometimes used the two names interchangeably as they are basically the same car. The difference between a Pontiac and a Chevy is that the Pontiac comes with lock washers. ;p

I do prefer Firebirds, tho, I've had 1 Camaro and 4 Firebirds. ^_^

  • my shifting is a crime against my car compared to what i'v just saw

  • Lt1 camaro baby

  • you selling your right arm and left leg?

  • omfg what an acc !

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

  • wow that is fast

  • 12 second 1/4 mile, also there is no 0:50 :D

  • @z3r0zx1 looooooooooool 0:49 jumps to 0:51 hahaha thumbs up

  • holy sheep shit batman very nice...Thumb this shit up!

  • wow. dude is a really a good driver

  • want to see the best stick driver in the world? watch evan j smith at muscle mustangs and fast ford...love watching that guy drive....no one can out shift that guy

  • That was a mean jump

  • Watch this video and skip to 1:15

    /watch?v=rX7oqoTCV5M&feature=related

Both are fast but this ones 3rd to 4th is just stupid

  • how many gearboxes did you smash to learn this? nice work

  • I don't why but i laughed so hard when i saw this.

  • that's a mean ride

  • bloody impressive

  • does anyone know what he's doing at the end? like hes just either stuck on the shifter or... what?

  • @ItsMrWinters he put it in neutral, not trying to say anything about age, but people around 30-40 and up usually are accustomed to jiggling it left and right to make sure its not in third, he threw it in N and then slung it left and right to make sure it was in the right gear, then he just coasted down the track, thats how my i seen my dad drive and now i do it commonly when i put it in N

  • @augustaakablade hahah yeah dude i do the exact same cuz of my dad

  • Really Awesome Start ! And outstanding shifts by this man !.

  • you need a new wheel :)

  • That thing launches hard. Nice car

  • Awesome.

  • Love it.

  • SWEEEEET !

  • Damn that was a good run.

  • not bad, not too great of an accomplishment with a short throw shift kit..

let me see him do the same thing so fluidly and smoothly with a stock row boat shift throw..

  • did he stall to begin with?

  • @teriyakibenitez No. The drop out in the audio does kinda make it sound that way, but you can see the tach immediately after the burn out and the engine is at idle.

  • @teriyakibenitez did he have to turn the ignition again?

  • @SuperColossal33 i think you mean "did he have to turn the engine on again?" silly

  • This guy is kind of amateur compared to this guy:

    /watch?v=MgB4a2eN1Qs&feature=related

    and qualyfying:

    /watch?v=pf7ogFFJUT0&feature=related

  • Goddamn. He's shifting so perfectly that it's like a fuckin automatic..

  • Who needs automatic?

  • he launched at like 4 grand thats pretty insane. awesome shifting this guy is cool in my book

  • what was the time on this? was this the 1/4 mile or 1/8?

  • very nice

  • How did he start that fast ?? ://

  • woow got off the line sooooo fast

  • god damn nice shifting bro that was nice as hell

  • wow 11 sec or so

  • the best shifting video on youtube,

  • LOL the torque steer man, scary scary

  • That is Randy Brown.... Eticket. It's a 1994 stroker LT1 with nitrous. Awesome car

  • @nufnuffz28 thanx, I figured somebody would recognize the vid eventually. ;) If that is Eticket, I probably saw that car in person a long time ago.

  • with the quickness

  • that is some pretty smooth and quick shifting

  • and he's not powershifting either....

  • Holy shit how fast did it hit 100?

  • @xtreme01hac10docter uhh yea that was around 120

  • @xtreme01hac10docter it was around 115-120 when he let off

  • damn....

  • Trans Am

  • im thinkin hes shifted a few times

  • His left leg is like a snake-attack!! So fast!

  • you inspire me

  • Sound is LT1 no doubt

  • ahhh that sweet soud.. gotta luv it.

  • definitely a lt1 car. awesome

  • damn that is serious talent

  • WHOAAA

  • woowww

  • wow

  • dang that guy is freakin amazing...thats pretty good tho

  • shift hax0r

  • @abnormalmindset I don`t get the "hax0r" part...

  • @tibby499 he meant that he is a hacker. :)

  • @ken4561000 oh... i figured it out , `cause there`s a chet in a game, and it causes everything to speed up ;)

  • nice power shifting... watch the tach

  • @02mustangGTx - Wow, he was right on the money every time.

  • there is lot more to fast shifting than just pulling the gear lever as hard as you can.this guy proved that

  • Nice shifting. One thing he does that I do as well is he already starts to pull on the shifter before he clutches it which really helps to shoot it ot the next gear when you press the clutch.

  • what year is that trans am....and my gears are a little stiff..:(

  • @pisscow1 I really don't know, that is not me or my car(see info to right of vid) It is an early, LT1 steering wheel, and people tend to avoid 93-94 years, so I would guess 95 -97.

I haven't owned an F-body in years, I do miss them, tho.

check out LS1com, LS1LT1com, or LS1techcom all should be helpfull to you. You could try an oil change, but be carefull, I've heard of problems if you get the wrong oil. And, I don't think it will ever shift like a ricer, the T56 is pretty heavy duty.

  • @l337pwnage

why do people avoid the 93-94 years?

  • @Artyfil a few items are that the car got a better ignition coil 95+, improved vented optispark, different cam, which means 93-94's have there own special cam, vs a cam that fits from 95-97. My '93 even had special windshield wipers that only fit the 93' and maybe 94, so even those were hard to find. 95+ got dual cats for a claimed +10 hp I believe. 95+ got the 0.5:1 6th gear whereas 93-4 had 2 different trans options.

I may not be 100% accurate, and there is more, but you get the idea.

  • thats some fast shifting

  • Great! congrats!!!
