  • You can listen a GREAT version of this song here /watch?v=hBi8SBh34rQ by Vic Damone, a singer of Sinatra's Era who is way underrated.

  • There are those of us who end up living with the love of one's life...and then there are the rest of us. Here's to the rest of us, and to my beautiful Paul, and to accepting that when our dreams don't come true, it may be because our soul in its wisdom has another plan.

  • This was my parents "song" ! Beautiful Stardust

  • Try listening to this late at night! It is such an overwhelming feeling .....

  • @TwoThreeNineJohn Great post. It is one of my favorites. Wishing your daughter and new son-in-law the best of everthing.

  • Maybe one of the most sensitive melodies matched to instrumentation, sung by the smoothest of all voices. Pure beauty.

  • Always remind me of "Sleepless in Seattle"

  • WoW - This tune is extra special to my wife and I - Lots of sweet memories and laughter - Really great tune.

  • I really don't know if it's possible to create a more beautiful, harmonious blend of voice and instrument than this recording. This is the dance I will share with my daughter at her wedding this Saturday, a melancholy tale of a special love gone, but never lost.

  • To have Nat King Cole around today...

  • His singing is indescribable and I can never get enough, don't get me wrong, but this instrumental in the background is just fantastic.

  • The serenity, the music, the beautiful lyric and the smooth as silk voice gently erupts into the otherwise silence of the day with this beautiful song.....it is superb as usual

  • My parents saw him perform in San Francisco in the early 60's and they said he was spectacular. I believe it!

  • mickeymousebiker1, your dedication is perhaps the nicest I have ever read. Listening to this really beautiful Hoagy Carmichael written song and reading your words choked me up to tears. I hope you one day find peace and joy with your beloved Barbra Rose, my friend.

  • I dedicate this sublime version (by Nat Cole) in very loving memory of the Darling of My Life -- My Heavenly-Resplendent Wife, Barbra Rose. We were together for only two years before cancer stole Barbra away from me. Barbra -- My Western Star -- you have Stardust in your hair (and eternal love for me). I pray that you can hear this song from your rose garden in Heaven. I pray that Jesus will send you back to earth, and take me back to Heaven with you (very soon)! Barbra- I love you beyond Time!

  • this is what were doing our show for winterguard i think:)

  • Sleepless in Seattle <3

  • 3:12 the bottom url is mispelled, toutube

  • I have loved this song all my life. Now my wife is gone to heaven, and this song has crystallized, as if it were written for me. 45 years was not enough.

  • This just HAS to be a Gordon Jenkins arrangement.

  • people like Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra literally make my day when i get home and can listen to them

  • 89 people have stardust...

  • This, as well as Skylark, are the two best songs ever written...melody and lyrics...ironically both products of the genius Hoagy Carmichael....Johnny Mercer wrote the lyrics to Skylark, Mitchell Parrish to Stardust. I NEVER tire of listening to these songs.

  • I found this song watching My Favourite Year, its a great film give it a go.

  • This song is so beautiful everything works together it sounds heavenly

  • *fav

  • This is amazing, now a days all the singers need headphones to be able to sing to the background. So sad to see the quality of entertainment they produced these days, can't even do a simple thing *sigh* anyways, Nat king Cole is my all time cab

  • It is sublime.

  • @natkingcoletv You are AMAZING for posting all of this!! Thank you so much!!

  • yes goose bumps !

  • all his songs are so meaningful! i love this man!! =)

  • Such a great singer! I love him <3

  • one of my favorite nat king songs they dont make em lyk dis anymore

  • must be the worlds best ever singer, who else can give you goosebumps with so many songs???

  • @jmjohnmannion i don't know but hes so good he always makes me feel happy and makes me cry everytime i hear his songs

  • @jmjohnmannion

    Sintara :P

  • @jmjohnmannion Mr. Cole's Stardust is no doubt very brilliant. But I must say, Mr. Buble's rendition of Stardust is very well done as well. His use of a capella vocals accompanying his main vocals really made it different. have a listen and compare. tell me your opinion on that :)
