please demonstrate less of an understanding of keynesian economics next time, grover. what the analogy should be is 2 bodies of water: one stagnant lake that the rich people chill in, and a flowing river that is the real economy. the rich people dont reinvest most of their money like conservatives love to suggest; they hoard it because reserves of wealth equal power. obama is forcing them to put their money where their mouth is and actually use it to help the economy
norquist is saying that going into debt is bad. he's saying that the democrats shouldn't borrow and spend. i'm not an expert in macroeconomics. i know this tho: going into debt is not an inherently bad thing. individuals and companies go into debt all the time. often one has to go into debt to get through life
Another overly simplistic analogy for an amazingly complex problem, his analogy does nothing but mislead people. This is just another example of how some people think there just is not enough to go around for everyone so only the most vicious animals should get a piece of the pie and f--k the rest. Typical shortsighted narrow minded vision of weak people who are too scared to accomplish anything in there pathetic lives.
The sad part is that analogy perfectly summed up the plan. Lets make america richer by spending more money because we saw how well tat worked during the great depression.

G_d, it's hard to take Grover Norquist seriously as he looks, sounds and acts as if he still lives with his mom.

Surely Norquist can come up with a better analogy for why this stimulus doesn't work than filling up a lake!
