During the PS2 period when I wanted one I was around 11 or 12 don't remember, but it seemed as if every single commercial for any game on my list made me foam in the mouth. I think MGS2, FFX, and GTAIII were the commercials that made me cry quietly to myself.
I rember this ad on TV and after playing the Demo, I knew I had to get this game. Best game before MGS4. I actually like Raiden and Snake, and accept the entire series canon as what it is including the awesome codec segments.

Did you play MGS3? That game made Big Boss into a sympathetic character. I feel like it would have been a great disservice to portray Big Boss as pure evil in MGS4. @xRapidDavex No it wasn't, MGS4 was about blaming others for you're own sins. All Ocelot, Eva, Naomi and Big Boss did was blame Snake for things he didn't do because they were cowards.

@xRapidDavex Have you played Metal Gear Solid, did you some how miss the fact that Big Boss was brain washing people into thinking that he was their savior? What Kojima Productions did with Big Boss in MGS4 and on word was never supposed to have happened and no matter how much whining you do it will always be a bad move that ruined the series.

In both versions of the game there's a recap of the first two games where it makes it clear that not only was BB full of himself and that he was nothing like MGS4 made him out to be. **** son, if Big Boss was really the way you think that he is then why did he go out of his way to hurt Snake twice? Everything in MG2 was about Big Boss trying to hurt Snake physically and emotionally and at the end of the game what does BB do? Gives this mocking speech talking down about the people you think he cares about and then tries to kill an unarmed Snake with a machine gun. Also, the government wasn't the only one the consider Big Boss evil, so did Kojima.

yeah the cutscenes are great but the 10 minute codec calls get pretty annoying though. I still listen so i dont miss anything though

When I was little I'd always make sure my dad was around to see this commercial, so it's easier to talk him into buying it for me. Yup, I was pretty much an MGS fiend when I was very little, lol I don't know why they even bother putting up the M rated logos, I got this shit when I was like 9.

yup some critics did thought te story was confusing and playing as raidin wasnt as good! but no critic said it was a bad game!! yet again there was nothing confusing in te story for me!! i guess some critics cant seem to think hard enough!! nyway all game reviews on mgs 2 was atealst 9!! and it is considered to be one of te best game on ps2 along with mgs subsistence!!
