The "word" of God was written by people saying they heard the "word" of "God". This "creation" could as more as likely been naturally-formed as well. I was just thinking how people, who do not know the Lord Jesus need to come to Him in repentance and faith. 2 Peter 3:9 says that "God is not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance." A nation whose God is the Lord will be protected during tough times, but the more godless that nation becomes, the more God will permit America's enemies to defeat her.

There are certain things that are proven by ACTUAL SCIENCE. Then there are other things that do not lend themselves to faulty science, such as evolution, (where are the transitional forms in the fossil record for example). One day you may wake up. I'd say a great 'proof' of a God is the universe itself. The universe is expanding...there are models to describe it's expansion. If you invert those equations, you go back in time, and eventually, ~13 billion years ago, the universe came into existence via the big bang. A single point in time where everything was created--why did it do that? Why hasn't it happened again? Where was the energy for that reaction? You say chance, I say God!

All of the quotes you posted paint a picture of a deist god, not the Christian god. My first comment was speaking of a Deist god, and because the responders of the original comment took the response as meaning to insult their personal, Christian god (which can be inferred by their replies),that my responses were focused to the very UN-Christian founding of the U.S.A. My original meaning was to disavow a Deist god, but because the discussion morphed,I needed to focus on the Non Christian aspect.

God can mean many things to different people. Some say Buddha is God, others say Allah, others hold to the Hindu religion. The question is do we "know and love" CHRIST JESUS. Yes, God can be many things to many people. There can also be Multiple gods in one's imagination, as there can be multiple voices in one's head, or just one.
But Religions attach their own stigma to the "god" character, with each religions God(s) consisting of fairly consistent behaviors. Religions also contain a set of Dogmas, each set (Taken as a whole) individualizing each religion. That makes Christianity separate from ANY other religion, including Deism.

Check it out: there is no such thing as "separation of church and state" in ANY founding document whatsoever! The First Amendment was erected to keep the State out of the CHURCH, not vice versa. The first part keeps religion out of government, the second part keeps government out of religion. THAT, my friend, is a separation between church and state.

In the INTENT (liberals love to play on the intentions of the Founders) of Thomas Jefferson when he penned the words "separation of church and state" in a letter to a BAPTIST PREACHER (hello!!), he was speaking of a one-directional wall to keep the government from establishing a State Church or interfering with the free exercise of speech and religion. The First Amendment ONLY keeps the government from interfering with the Church; it says NOTHING of the church's involvement with the government.

I love the lyrics in this song...great! I mean, why would anybody want to change what so many of our country's most beloved leaders gave to us? This song has really great meaning to it. It really makes you think about America's relationship with God, and how much farther and farther we are inching away from God. It also makes you think of how many times we've failed to walk the path that he would have us walk, but it is amazing how he always forgives us ^^. After all, HE created us in his own perfect image! We should thank him more and give him more credit than we do!
