Don't say that Iommi better than Rhoads or opposite. They both are best. Just Iommi is best of Heavy Metal and Rhoads is best of Hard Rock-Rock'n'Roll.
as with most of the later 80s Sabbath albums this one got very underrated.. but if not for this album and Deep Purple's Burn, I wouldn't know Glenn Hughes at all. Seventh Star's ending track is even more moving, the guy could really wail
Glenn was a coked-up mess at this particular time but he still sings his ass off on the album. Shame his voice was in such poor condition for the abortive tour.
This album was badged as a Black Sabbath release by the record company. It's really a Tony Iommi solo project but no what it's called, there are some great hard rock tunes on this record.
saw glenn on the last show for him in providence rhode island, he sounded ok, but you could tell he was a mess....loved this guy in deep purple, he was the bass player/singer in the coverdale era...awesome singer....
Not a bad word for Ozzy, Ronnie James or Tony, and you have to know Dio is my all time favourite vocalist, but what Glenn does on this record and to me, is unbelievable. Always liked him, always will.
dommage!! glenn hugues lost his voice , really, with this music!! i love sabbath , but it was so hard for glenn ! excuse me for my english, i'm french! but, really a great morceau!.... arnaud
@arnaudkip Glenn had a hard time live because he suffered damage to his sinuses after a fist fight. Not to mention he was all messed up on cocaine. Glenn never signed on to do a Sabbath record, Seventh Star was supposed to be a solo album for Tony but the record company put it out as Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi.

The Seventh Star album is as good as anything that Tony Iommi & Glen Hughes have done together IMHO. Such a pity that thes songs (+ the ones of the DEP sessions + the ones from Fused) will probably never be played live .
Glenn!! The greatest white soul singer .. and for me the best hard rock singer. This song is so well crafted, so simple, brutal and rockin' !!
