I Just love that Aston, love the shape, the colour, the sound, wich is much better than the 8c's in my opinion, more rafined and it gives you the sense of power...The audi is nice too.

I'd choose the porsche everytime, nothing sounds sweeter to my ears then that flat six kicking outa first, bogging down with grunt and whirring and growling its way up through the rev range of 2nd. Sounds even better on the gt3 rs titanium exhaust. 8C = beautiful, R8 = awesome , aston = waste of money.

8C is the weakest car of the bunch. Porsche is the ugliest, the Audi for me looks too much like a hairdressers Audi TT for £80k +. By the power of deduction we are left with the Aston. It ticks all the right convertible boxes. Beautiful to look at, awesome drive and sounds like machine gun fire. Ok it's not as fast as the R8 by a tiny amount, the Porsche is more of a involving drive. In the real world, none of this matters or your not going notice anyway. For me it's the Aston by quite a way.

Soft top drivers cars make no sense as a "drivers" car. You loose structural rigidity and to keep it stiff, extra strengthening beams are added. More weight = less of an drivers experience. This effect is especially compounded with the 911 and Aston's AMV8. Cars for posing in and thats it.

All these car have tuned exhaust, to make them sound good and indeed they do but it's as fake as a hooker's smile. The only one that doesn't and sound real is the Porsche which is more induction noise then exhaust.

Bit of a shame, has the feel of a pre 90s top gear test. Chris Harris vids are good because he has passion, sorry but this is devoid of passion. Think voice overs suck, make everything to formal, get the mike and camera on a good mount in the car with the driver just seems better. A filmed blast bottom to top filmed from front and back cars would be good. Also where the police there? Get there arse out :) Good effort though and still better than most other mags efforts.

Logic says go for the Porsche. It's the better package overall however if you want a bit of passion when you go on roads as epic as that, Aston or 8C over all. Personally I'd have the 8C. Beautifully sounding machine with an interior to have you divorce your wife in seconds.

The star of the show no doubt is the road. What a beautiful bit of tarmac that is. The Transfaragan highway in Romania (the Top Gear special???) is most definitely better but this is really close to that greatness.

Aston Martin have ruined the sound of the Vantage with the S, in my opinion. It used to sound raw and aggressive and now it sounds more modest and smooth.
