Heh I like how at 0:40 it looks the moth wants to be friends...but alas, the toad got a lovely four-course meal! Holy crap that sucker was easily half the size of the toad itself!! Where the hell do moths that big come from?!

in south korea, the elephant hawk-moth (Deilephila elpenor) is about that big -- ~3.0" wingspan, body diameter ~1.0 cm at the thickest part. They're infrequent, which means you get a few per week throughout humid summer months, just flying in through open hallway windows in old university buildings.

Sphingidae is an old-world family, UK to Japan, but not the Americas until they stowed away on jets or boats.

Maybe a 5" green praying mantis could eat one (eww!), but they're even rarer.
