Not a fan of Bobby Lee, but I liked Arden Myrin and I'm glad they kept Michael McDonald around as long as they did because he really held the show together.
This is when I stopped watching Madtv. I mean they took away the god damn theme song(in my opinion a good theme song) for christ sake. The show went downhill from here. Seasons 1-12 were actually good. I mean 9-12 had it's bad moments as well, but it wasn't like th crap they had on the last two seasons. To me seasons 1-12 will be considered as the REAL madtv, while the last two, ehhh not so much lol.

I miss having Ike always at the begining!! I like: Christa, Keegan, Bobby(Holycrap he changed!!) , Michael, Arden, Nicole!! If only we can have our old cast back (No offense to anyone)

Late night shows on the weekends don't usually get placed on the Nielsen ratings. MADtv was doing really well actually from Seasons 1-12. Then 13 came along during an extremely rough year because of the Writer's Strike. MADtv wasn't cancelled because of ratings; it was cancelled because of the budget; MADtv was a very expensive show to produce and FOX didn't have a sufficient budget for them to keep going...which is BS because they spend all their money on American Idol.

MADtv was using the same studio for 12 years. It wasn't until Season 13 when they were moved to the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre in Hollywood. This was because of a budget cut, as renting a studio out is more expensive. FOX cut their budget between 40-60%, which is why most of the material seemed sub-par that year.
Yeah, but AI is also going way downhill too bcuz all the judges are leaving or got fired. Its time to axe this show becuz Carrie Underwood is really the only successful winner (and very few others have been successful too).

Not true. FOX "cancelled" MADtv because of the economic recession we're currently in. The show became too expensive to produce so FOX decided to cancel it. They were very nice enough to let MAD air the remaining episodes that were produced. FOX has a reputation of cancelling shows and not airing any remaining episodes that were produced. There are talks of MAD moving to a different network for Season 15

This is mad late but at the time this discussion started, yes I was sure and it was already in the talks that MAD could be on a different network for season 15. Unfortunately MADtv is a very expensive show to produce, and David Salzman has already confirmed that while he pitched the idea to other networks, some of them already turned down the offer.
I miss the old mad tv like the season 9-11 era, when it was sketch comedy and they had better cast the only good people they have now are Keegan & Bobby, I stopped watching because all of my Favourite people left. After Michael McDonald left that was the last straw
