  • You can't tell that much being that you recorded an 8x2 pixal video

  • You should not compare the old technology with the new one, now the possibilities are bigger.

  • FS2004 is clearer and more real

  • @tayrenpeng It's the video format. If both were saved in HD, both sims would look equally clear, but Flight would be more real.

  • fs9 is better

  • I couldn't actually tell the difference !

  • How can anyone say that they prefer MS2004, when Microsoft Flight hasn't even come out yet?? Am I missing something? Is it already out? How do I get a copy??

  • Who else is still play FS2004?

  • Which one is which?

  • @supersaintsfan31 bottom screen is FS2004

  • Personally I believe those rumors. Explain why we see only small planes in Hawaii looking scenery on all trailers and pictures.

  • I have heard some rumors that Microsoft Flight is going to be just stupid kiddie came, and has only area of Hawaii Islands with some kind of arcade style career mode, and not replacement of FSX or FS9 at all. Also addon aircraft are not going to be compatible with Microsoft Flight either... If thats true it seems that either X plane 9 or new fsx version made by Lockeed (pr3pared) are only real options.

  • Does anyone know what type of plane this is? I think it's a Waco Classic, I may be wrong, I don't know my biplanes toowell outside WW1

  • @STMguitarguy96 its a Boeing Stearman.

  • @rekarts Thankz

  • FSX All the way

  • Hey do you still have the link for that aircraft for FS9?

  • @DCFilmsStudio I'm not an idiot. I've played both FS2004 and FSX. Also, you can tell that FS2004 has a little better realism because you can see the pilot is using the rudder on the takeoff roll, to counteract P-factor. On the video of FLIGHT, I don't see any rudder movement. P-Factor may have been disabled before the video or something, but if not, than my point of FS2004 being a *simulator* is enforced. Remember also, good graphics doesn't mean realistic... anything.

  • @airbusandmustang FS2004 is vastly inferior to FSX in terms of "simulating" anything. The depth of systems that can be simulated with FSX goes far beyond what FS2004 is capable of. A2A took it one farther but still relies on the FSX system for many things, even with how advanced their systems modelling is. FS2004 was very good in it's day, but it's "day" has been over for several years now.

  • Flight by a smidgen, FS2004 still lookin good despite its age.

  • @rekarts Thanks!! (:

  • Anybody know what airport this is at?

  • @Jarrett172 it's Hilo - PHTO

  • It won't be an arcade game. They explain everything on their teaser site

  • For all those who are wondering what the airplane is, well it is a Boeing Stearman, you can find it in Simviation

  • Awesome and funny video, What plane is that? i want it for my Flight Sim X

  • @11Kenzy thanks :)

  • @rekarts Nevermind the plane question, it's a Boeing Stearman

  • ahaha dude nice work :D

  • nice but I'm afraid of the new Simulator because my laptop is not good enough

  • @AirbusA330Fan8 dont worry, this game comes out in a long time from now. who knows, you might have a new computer.

  • wait, can you only fly that byplane or what?

  • fs9 rools, is the best airplane simulator, and in a little part is better than fsx

  • Off the bat, Flight looks like it has nicer Terrain texture, higher anti-aliasing, better runway texture, and better instrument textures than 2004. I'm certain the biggest, and practically sole, improvement is performance related. Flight will most certainly retain the simulator feel, in tradition of the rest of the MS flight sim series. Although quite likely, they will include additions/game modes which would suit an arcady audience, as well.

  • @zadeh79 actually no. Flight is made more like a video game(according to what this guy that played a demo)

  • @zadeh79 Wrong. Its just an arcade.

  • @deloford Take a look at what they say on their website. They made it clear they would retain the simulator qualities.

  • @zadeh79 I dont care what the website saysl it is not a simulator. No AI, no weather, no SDK, no API, no tools to develop with, no ground aircraft, no jets, no cesna, no compatibility with the 1000s of FSX addons despite the engine being basically FSX, nothing that resembles the Flight Simulator that fans loved for 25 years. Its a disgrace. Check avsim to see what people who know what they are talking about think about it. Its a kiddies Xbox 'game'. Its a disaster.

  • @zadeh79 Still think so?

  • I don't like"microsoft flight" just by it's name...to bad it won't be a simulator.....i guess I'll stick with x

    Plane for now

  • The MS flight model looks very real compared to the 2004 one.

The 2004 model looks like an solid rigid body with no physics at all. Almost like an yellow brick with wings.

I hope they don't screw this up by turning MS flight into a facebook like game, but they'll probably will. And make it """accesible""

  • In the FS2004 video, that's a addon scenery/payware, or is default scenery?

  • @rembpilot172 free addon scenery

  • there is one HUGH differents! FS9 was a Simulator. MICROSOFT FLIGHT, will be ARCADE Shit for teenies. " FLIGHT " wont be a ne " flight- SIMULATOR " .it will NOT be No.11 !!!!!!! capiche?

  • @spillerxxxxx everything except capiche

  • Nicely done man! good job!

  • Vice work! :D

Whats the name of the plane?

  • agh

    if that's what they release

I'll be sorely disappointed. It looks like an FSX replica to me

  • @anush10 you never read do you heh?

  • @FsimulatorX

    what are you saying man?

  • @anush10 Well MS FLIGHT is going to be nothing more than just an improved version of FSX, just like FSX is an improved version of FS2004.

  • @MrSolid95

I was hoping they would change their internal engine or code running the game. We all know how inefficient and extremely prone to crashes the one running FSX was. Hopefully they did that as they've had a shitload of time to work on this hah .

  • good video man now i can see the diferen

  • guys Microsoft Flight is still under development it wont comeout till spring or summer

  • So in Summary:

Microsoft sack all of the development team for FSXI 2 years ago and spend two years making FS9 work with Windows Live!

Ah well, so long as we don;t have to use gamespy I can live with that!

  • @MrFsopen Microsoft Flight is still in early development, this trailer proves nothing. At least new screenshots look better than fsx.

  • someone looked at home page in fsx to see how damn realistic is?

  • FLIGHT looks better but not by much, im expecting the complete game to look amazing because anything less is not acceptable.

  • @eiroight y its 2011!!!!!! we need sum just cause 2 engine or black ops grappichs..

  • Which one's which?

  • up close you really cant tell the difference, but once you get higher up, flight looks better

  • FS2004 looks a lot better,

  • @jeffly1500

Don't be daft. The urban textures just beyond the runway threshold in the FS2004 version look hideous....just like every version of MSFS.

  • @jeffly1500 Your fucken blind.

  • @TheWarPlanet

No im not ;) Nothing can beat FS2004 so far.

  • @jeffly1500 Oh ok i see why, to bad my fs9 is broken for some reason and the graphics come out really bad so no point in buying payware (full graphic settings)

i prefer fsx over fs9 and mf will be the best.

  • Very nice video!!! What did you use to get those camera positions in FS9?

  • @fsrotorcraft used walk and follow and also the tower view for some scenes

  • Great video! What airport is that?

  • @64Knop thanks, HILO - PHTO

  • Besides the polished video editing on the MSFLight traile they look very simmelar

  • I like the comparison

  • love it

  • excelent comparison, though its easy to tell FLIGHT has great graphics :D

  • I like it alot :) Great Video man!

  • @bkingair350 thanks :)

  • very nice, thank you for this comparison!

  • @AirbusA330Pilot glad you like it :)

  • nicely done!

  • Interesting. I take it the bottome scene is Microsoft Flight?

  • @DeltaEagle7700 Nope top one is :)

  • @DeltaEagle7700 lol what he said, bottom is FS9

  • @rekarts. Oh. lol! I cannot tell because they almost look the same! lol!

  • Wow, Brilliant video, love how you got yours to match perfectly. Lets hope the new one doesn't need a super CPU to run it like FSX.

  • @bulkocrew thanks, I sure hope it'll run better than FSX

  • Both are about the same, not big differences, only the brightness is brighter in the upper video one and well maybe the colors too a little.

  • @Tranzorr yea and the shadows look way better in Flight

  • @TomUytterhoeven I know that, but how you can know if that footage is really from new microsoft flight, or if they just used fsx or fs2004 and little video editing to make a video what microsoft flight will look like? I dont believe that its has that much eye candy when its still in development.

  • in my opinion MS Flight will be much better with good addons....but i prefer FS9...=)

  • I personally believe that this trailer is really not from microsoft flight, its from fsx or fs2004. Microsoft flight is still deep in development.

  • looks good against FS9 but looks kinda the same as FSX

  • Microsoft flight is still under development

  • @FsimulatorX No shit Sherlock...

  • wow nice comparision very alike,

how did you find out what airport it was in ms flight?!

  • @hairybearz thanks, saw a comment posted on one of the webisodes

  • haha flightsim 2004= way better lol

  • Nice comparison

  • @AugmentedB737 thanks

  • I'm sorry, but FS2004 looks better. The new FS looks more like an arcade game than a simulation.

  • @airbusandmustang it is going to be an " arcade " game, to attract more players :|

  • @HDsimmer700 One of the reasons I won't buy it. The main reason is because by the time computers can play it and I can afford one, I'll be flying real aircraft.

  • @airbusandmustang yeah true, probably the same for me aswell

  • @airbusandmustang i agree but i think (or hope) that ms will change it up quite a bit. they said that its still in early development so i hope they make improvements

  • @airbusandmustang I have to agree

  • @airbusandmustang microsoft flight is better, compare the scenery of fs2004 and M. F. , Microsoft flight wins

  • @TheAirflyer No, Flight Simulator X wins haha

  • @11Kenzy yeah

  • @TheAirflyer Not until Microsoft Flight gets released, that big simulator will probably be released in, maybe 2012 or 2013

  • @11Kenzy Microsoft Flight will be released in february of 2012

  • @airbusandmustang microsoft flight is better, compare the scenery of fs2004 and M. F. , Microsoft flight wins 0:06

  • @airbusandmustang Retard look closly on both plans as they make the sharp left turn and tell me which one looks more realistic?

  • @FsimulatorX First off, there is no need to call me a retard. The is just puerile and unjust. Second, I still stand by initial statement and I still like FS2004 better.

  • @airbusandmustang well you are saying it looks like an arcade.. Is it because your current PC can't run it that you are mad on FLIGHT?

  • @FsimulatorX If you look at my channel you'll be quite surprised that I can not only run FS2004, but I can run FSX. And it's just a matter of personal preference really. Personally, I think X-Plane is more realistic than any Microsoft flight simulator, but comparing FS2004 and FLIGHT, I say FS2004 is more realistic.
