  • Bro what can make the pt crusier accelerate faster

  • There the same turbo as the srt4 just not the intercooler and piping and transmission and intake manfold

  • is that the srt 4 exhaust

  • Can I install a 2.4L Turbo in my current PT cruiser.

  • i cant take off my grille i'm tryna change my trans hose cause its leakng can u inbox be for some help i have a 05 pt cruiser

  • did you put a bov??

  • I own a PT GT 5 speed with Stage One, a functional ram air hood, Spec Stage 2 Racing Clutch, Hurst Shifter, Mopar Stage One Springs, Mopar/Borla Dual Exhausts, Blow Off Valve, and upgraded shocks and sway bars. It does the quarter in 14.2 seconds. The original Shelby GT 350 Mustang did the quarter mile in 15 seconds flat. Put that in your meth pipe and go smoke it. Original "Hot Rods" couldn't touch it. FAIL! is what the last male hooker said when you unzipped your pants.

  • @bluegoose03 you realize a lot of that time for the shelby had to do with tires and suspension right? it's not all about motor when it comes to racing. if a shelby had a modern suspension and tires i'm pretty confident it would run just as fast as your PT cruiser.

  • When it's all said and done... it's STILL just a wanna be hot rod. Looks like a lot of money gone to watse in order to be a poser. FAIL.

  • these weigh less than a neon srt-4 and are mechanically the same thing...if you ask me, this is a better investment..plus it's more of a sleeper

  • Let me be clear. These cars are for gay fuckers who WISH they could have a hot rod. They FAIL.

  • maybe if it's an older person? i don't think these look like a "hot rod" at all, MAYBE a rat rod...which are not REAL cars anyway, most of them are completely custom, so if anything they look like a PT lol

  • oh and one more thing, name one other i4 that can safely handle 500whp on the stock engine...not many other there, you just don't like them because of how they look...what other reason do you have to hate these cars other than it's body? please make a list of things wrong with this car and i promise i'll disprove every claim

  • I'm into hot rods. Mainly V8 powered. These under powered sheep mobiles just don't do it for me. Sure, you can work more pwoer into them, but for half the cost you can build up a V8.

The original concept of these cars was to copy early car designs from the mid 30's. That's why you see guys trying to make them cool. I've seen them with flames and all sorts of shit screwed to them. Hell, there's a guy at work with a blower scoop bolted to the hood. Yea, BOLTED TO THE HOOD.

  • like i said, you have NO valid reason to hate these cars other than it's in fact an i4...this engine is actually a perfect example of how much potential a well built i4 really has, yeah..the body style isn't for everyone, but the engine can take more power stock than pretty much any other i4 out there

  • @greeleykid

Pts are heavier than srt's by a LOT, by about 2000 lbs

  • @Freezinghot2 i was incorrect in saying that the PT is lighter than the SRT-4, but the pt only weighs 543 lbs more..noticeable difference, yes..but it's much more of a sleeper, and it's much more practical

  • @greeleykid Also, the pt has different trims that effect weight heavily. I have the limited with the leather interior, and i swear, the rear seats have to weight like 300lbs combined, their insanely heavy. Thats where they screwed up with the pts performance in my book, the insane weight.

  • @Freezinghot2 you're right, but to be honest if you are that concerned with weight, you could have some racing seats installed or if you wanna save some money get some seats from a base model and wrap them in leather yourself..lot's of ways around weight issues

  • @greeleykid Im not concerned in the least about weight, and yes, racing seats with save me a little weight, but the car is WAY too heavy for a turbo l4 to pull it well. Its not a racecar, its a cruiser. Yes, they can be quick, but its not designed for that purpose, thats why they make the srt.

If i wanted it to be a racecar then of course, i would be racing seats, or at least pull the rear ones out. Theres lots and lots to do to lose weight, but it quickly becomes impractical .

  • @Freezinghot2 yeah i don't blame you, i wouldn't mind a PTGT with a few modifications..nothing to change the practicality, just make it a little more fun lol

  • @greeleykid Ya. Their definetly fun and easy cars to mod. Problem is that the demand for parts isnt too high. So their pretty pricy compared to a pos tuner.

  • @Freezinghot2 well the parts are going to be more pricey, but i think it's more because it's NOT a ricer, the demand for parts for these isn't that high..but mechanically it's pretty much the exact same thing as an srt-4..i think the intake system is a little different, but other than that it's part for part

  • @greeleykid

Well, you basiclly repeated what i said.

But almost no parts between the 2 cars are interchangeable.

I know the wheel hubs, but honestly not much more than that

  • @Freezinghot2 no, i was agreeing in some ways, but i also said they are almost identical to the srt-4..the engine is the same, you can use parts for srt-4's on PTGT's

  • hey i have a quetion does your 2005 have a key and remote seperate or does it have the key and remote all in one that dodge and chrystler switched to ?

  • my 2005 pt cruiser has the key and remote seperate...im pretty sure they started using the key/remote all in one thing with the 2006 model year

  • You must be right cause I have an 06 with the key remote combo.

  • yeah tightest mods on ehre ive seen so far!

  • hi LOVE the sound...should pick up my gt cruiser next week.....was wondering if you had a parts number for the mopar blow off valve?

    thanks!!!

  • I think it is P4510548, they run for somewhere around $70 or so. The last bolt in a pain to get on and off, but not too hard to install.

  • I think the intake is actually a btg and those bad boys go for about 260 :D....

I got a pt also.... would a intake like yours work ona stock non-turbo pt?

  • I'm not sure if it would. I think they make a different one for the non-turbo PTs.

  • Comment removed

  • @imperialsolider The intake is actually an Airaid, they go for about 190$ , the BTG ones run around 150$, their cheap pieces of crap

  • nice mercedes diesel
