@FairRaizen thats funny to hear from a guy that probably supports the liberal party or the npd!i mean using the word gay as an insult.it goes to show that your nothing but ignorant scum!down with you.
Ignatieff is too illuminati for me...to much of a hidden, sinister elite agenda tool. The puppet masters always play both sides...they have a plan A and plan B. Overt corporatocracy (Republicans, Conservatives), globalist tool or hidden corporatocracy, globalist tool (Democrats, Liberals). I think Dion is the real deal, so I dont think he has much of a chance given the powers that be are against him..so their plan is probably to use Dion to gain public's trust, then replace with Ignatieff.
I you want to see a hidden sinister elite agenda, look no further, our little conniving Harper fits that bill perfectly. Puppet master - helloho, macflyhi, Harper == puppet master.
Ignatieff has a strong personality, and can engage in good constructive discussions. Harper doesn't understand discussing things if he fell over it.
No, Harper has not done "well". He's an evil little dictator. The press is not allowed in, he doesn't talk or discuss things. He rips our support systems appart, and he's a threat to public healthcare. He sucks for dealing with environmental issues, in fact, he's a crying joke.
Women don't like working with him, look at the female ratios in their party.
How are you basing your claims? The fact that he used the GST cut as a political ploy to gain votes when economists say that is about the worst sort of tax cut they could have initiated?
The problem we have is: how to we raise it back up? It brings the country bucketloads of money and we can't raise it back up. No taxpayer wants to and no Liberal can because Chretien ran his '93 campaign basically saying that he was going to get rid of it. That was the party line that got him elected.
We cannot...it would be a suicidal political move.Unfortunately a lot of people are not realizing that Mr Harper and his govt are very right wing (not just a Liberal scare tactic). They are trying to weaken the role of the federal government to a point where it is nearly impossible to reverse the trend and the GST is only one of the many examples of this. As a Canadian I am very concerned about this...I know a PC Government would not have done this...
@nickgibson1 hey douche bag!you think its fair to have ottawa decide for everything and everyone?i say more freedom to the provinces!fucking comuniste i hate scum like you !
I never hated Dion but it has taken me a while to see his merit. He is not the greatest communicator in the world (in english) but he is a very bright and passionate Canadian who truly seeks the national interest. Mr Ignatieff is great too and I think they make a great 1/2 punch...
I should have said, I don't like how Dion is too invisible. He's not proactive enough in terms of reaching out through the media. Ignatieff would have better constructive discussions about everything. It would make much more sense to have Dion as environment minister and Ignatieff at the helm.
Thats a fair statement (the last sentence). But I think Mr Dion is improving and I think he is the man for the job. His biggest problem is communication but thats where Mr Ignatieff comes in.
However, Mr Dion has been anything but invisible, especially lately after releasing the Green Shift. He is everywhere it seems. CityTV, Sun Media, radio shows, several business meetings/gathering as a speaker and others. He is out there and he needs to be to clear the smoke thrown up by the Conservatives.
If by the Conservative zealot you were referring to myself, I just wanted to say that I'm not Conservative supporter, never have been and never will be. This was a project done for a class, not some political message that I was trying to stamp though. Just thought that I'd point that out :)
If you put an attack ad online, expect a bit of a backlash...
I'm also a big advocate of education and student voting. I find it highly disturbing that college and university tuition is so darn high. Countries like Denmark provide for free.
Conservatives aren't for reduced education costs at all. The Liberals need to work harder on this too. Perhaps the NDP is better for education, but it'd be bad to take away votes from he Liberals, because we don't want those darn Cons.
Well I think I would point out that if you're not a Conservative supporter you certainly are not helping your cause by posting this. If you were to make it something of a satirical nature then yes but certainly that is not it...
True true. And thanks for your comments, along with everyone else. I didn't think as many people would view this and I surely didn't think that there was going to be a discussion like this! Hahah, wish I could show this to my teacher.
It is amazing to see how political discussions can grow and how passionate they can become.
Now I assume that you will at least keep yourself up in politics...if there is one thing I could say to you it is this...
Be a critical thinker, dont let others make your decisions and have faith in our political system and people. It is not perfect but we are very lucky to have what we have (look no further than Zimbabwe to see how lucky we really are)...
@FairRaizen thats funny to hear from a guy that probably supports the liberal party or the npd!i mean using the word gay as an insult.it goes to show that your nothing but ignorant scum!down with you.

So because you make ideological (not to mention, insensible) policy decisions, that makes you a leader that makes the "hard decisions"? What?

I totally disagree...there is no doubt that Mr Dion's political career rides on this next election but your thoughts are off-base.

I don't like Dion either, but I fucking hate the Cons. I've yet to see a sensible Conservative supporter.
