Those cymbals are actually quite excellent. The sound quality on your cam however is not excellent. Well played as well. Btw, I see you do 4/4's on your hi-hat in the beginning, I am fully aware that this is a cover, but Tomas actually taps 8/8's while on the other cymbals for the most part. :)
Regarding your description... - apart from the fact I really enjoyed this cover... - Swedish Drummers sure, but let's see this Australian drummer (from Synthetich Breed): Daniel Luttick. (can't copy the link, but try him on the world drummer festival 08)
i'm sad that you added sub drops cause i thought your 16(?) inch floor tom was just that brutal. i was gonna say teach me your tuning technique but for that i say OH NOW SUCK IT! how many cymbals do you crack a year? you got them shits like rock solid tight man. all joking aside, this was very well done dude, very well done. sexy cymbal set up too. but i agree with some of these comments on needing some bigger, bad ass monstrous crashes. \m/
dude. look up joeyjunior15 he did this same cover but his is like way way WAY better. i mean your is fucking awesome but his kit is mic'ed up and his quality is better.
@ElementalMark Just curious whats the last video u have seen that he made. and im sure your kit sounds much better in person (not on camera i mean) and its a really nice kit.
Nailed it, but you hold your sticks funny. And I didn't feel the power. Needed more power. And more Meshuggah faces. Sort of like the face you make when you take a shit that doesn't quite fit through your asshole. You know?
@ElementalMark you probably wouldn't have to worry about breaking your cymbals, if they were screwed on tighter then a five year olds pussy, let them breath man.
i need it to see that.. i'll start emediatly thnk u

Another comment is that the 3:00 part when playing on the hi-hat is 8/8s as well. :]
BenjaminProd 2 months ago
@BenjaminProd I am playing 8ths, every other 4th is ghost noted.
ElementalMark 2 months ago
@ElementalMark ah yes, I see that now. My bad.

Good job man. Tomas is not easy to replicate.

great video, you could have used a filter on those highs, i think i might have lost an ear drum there.

Any critics naysaying can suck your flaps. I would love to see their attempt. Good job. :)

I find they sound pretty poor for the purpose of playing the shug. But no amount of cymbals or enormous kit can compensate for rushing.
trippyfish 4 months ago
B minus. Put all cymbals under 16" in the trash. Thank you.
trippyfish 4 months ago
@trippyfish Nope. As a drummer of many genres, I need to be able to compensate.

Lossen your crashes :), other than that, amazing cover !!! Loved it :)

you had to do about twice the number of hi hat pedal hits than you did and you missed the ghost snare notes but oh well

What's your china?
DJHorseOfficial 9 months ago
@DJHorseOfficial The big one on the right is an 18" Sabian AA, the 2 smaller ones are 12" Sabian AAX mini chinas: the left having a brilliant finish.

Great drumming and setup. Really good.

Dude, you need some more 17/18 inch crashes! sounds boring as hell with just those 14/15 crashes to your left side.. Otherwise sick cover.
sebbimon 1 year ago
@sebbimon The sizes from left to right are 15, 16, 17 and 18. lol

@underpaiddrummer Yea i know! Hes a great drummer but he's not letting his cymbals "breath". But the china is oklike that.

@RonnieBlack444 No matter how hard you hit, the drums can only get so loud... then you hit the threshold where you're damaging equipment.

Fattydrums910 1 year ago 2
@Fattydrums910 I don't have a problem with breaking cymbals, not since I switched to Sabian. My Zildjians used to shatter like glass.
