@robinhoodtn1 16oz of Pepsi and Oreo cookies!!! You had enough sugar adrenalin in you to go out and jump off the garage roof without feeling any pain. It must have been great fun for your Mom to clean up after you. Just kidding, buddy. I used to see the Bowery Boys at the Saturday matinee along with Bomba, Johnny Mack Brown or Whip Wilson. I got to meet Billy Benedict a couple of times, also Frank Coughlin Jr. (Billy Batson). Leo Gorcey's son wrote a book on him not too long ago.
Mr. Keonig, as I knew him, was the principal at Tarzana Elementary in Tarzana CA. He was a very nice man and a wonderful leader at our school. It was actually a lot of fun getting sent to the principal's office because his walls were full of pictures from his acting days. He had a great sense of humor and made every one at that school glad that they were there.

Thanx for a really great video. Having grown up in Brooklyn in the 50s/60s, it brings back lots of memories.

Same here. Watching the Bowery Boys every Saturday was a tradition. Thanks, fedop.

Very nice, but isn't former East Side Kid Johnny Duncan also still alive? As well as Buddy Gorman?
