Wish people would educate themselves before they claim vegetarian diets 'lack the nutrients for people to survive' ... Eating a whole foods vegetarian diet and being conscious of getting a variety of foods (that include iron, B-vitamins and proteins (including mix of foods with a variety of amino acids to provide complete protein)) can provide an amazing diet while sparing these innocent little babies! You don't have to go full vegetarian to save animals, any cutting back on meat helps! =]

The problem is you cant save them all, just like dogs. Sad but farm animals r bred for meat. It would be nice if they can make something vegetarian that resembles meat taste but its too expensive and lack the nutrisant for people to survive. For every 1 you save, there r 10000 you cant. The dont deserve to be eaten. But in the wild carnavoires like lions eats other animals to survive. Hunters hunt for survival except those azzholes who hunts defenseless animals for sport trophy n fun

This is the type of thing I would love doing once I'm old enough. I've always been an animal lover and a vegetarian for almost 2 years. I watch this over and over again. I pray that God will do something to stop what's happening to pigs in Factory farms. These 2 are the fortunate ones. Sometimes I wish the pigs would all die in their sleep, so they wouldn't have to go through what monsters are doing to them. You've given these pigs a piece of heaven on earth. God bless you.

Awe this is so sweet. This is how pigs should live. We should not eat pigs. How can a civilized society allow barbaric tiny cages for them to live in forever while on earth. I just recently found out about factory farming and it breaks my heart. These animals cannot hurt us, and the workers beat them unmercifully every day. This vid makes me smile, and they are so blessed to have the enviorment you have blessed them with.

@nogerdsurg Good for you for spreading the word, but definitely encourage people to go vegan and not just free range. Animals shouldn't be eaten, period. Plus, a lot of these free range farms are no less cruel than the factory ones. The standards for what's considered "free range" are very low, so the animal will often spend its life in cramped, filthy conditions, even though they're allowed to "roam." Chickens, pigs, turkey, cows, goats, ducks -- they're all smart, amazing creatures.

I will try to encourage ppl to go vegan, but most seem to be so stuborn. I post videos on my Facebook page about the cruelty of factory farming, and I don't get responses. I think sometimes animals are anthropomorphised in these accounts - making friends, their range of emotion etc. can't be exactly as we understand it, much like the relationship between two dogs and a dog and a human is different. hough maybe I'm wrong. I think that's probably a common issue though, when people see videos like this, esp. if they eat meat. Anyway, it's a good thing. I'd like to spend time with animals like these and see for myself. I'm already vegan.

ChickenAwesome, I think you are missing the point. what do you mean "use large amounts of land", this is a sanctuary for animals. If you watched the video you would see that the pigs are running around they same way dogs do. I know a lot of people who own land and let their dogs run around. They take care of their pets, and let them live out their lives. I don't think those people ever plan on eating their dogs. The point is to show that every kind of animal enjoys being alive!

The way I see it, people ought to find the middle ground. Meaning, no factory farms, but nor should there be huge amounts of land being used for animals that don't sustain human life or an ecosystem. There should be free range farms like this where animals get to live happy, healthy lives, but are also used practically: this farm sanctuary is a nice idea, but would not work on a larger scale, and the larger scale is what really counts.

If a sentient being is being raised as a product for profit, there is no such thing as a happy life for that being. It is not practically possible for abuse to be eliminated in the system you suggest because of this attitude towards the animal. On the larger scale of what's right or not, meat production of any sort in the US will be unjust.
