So Caleb was the singer when they recorded this song, and he's not with the band anymore? That stinks. He's one of the reasons I like these guys so much. He sounds so much like Chris Cornell. In fact when I first heard this song that's who I thought it was.
@LivingthroughGod You are absolutely correct, many will twist the scripture to match their own prejudices. But if they know the Lord, and God is truly speaking through them, there will only be beauty and love shining through. I know there a some "Christians" who will condemn hard rock, even screamo rock. But this has no biblical basis whatsoever, It's a type of music. And it is an awful shame when people twist the words of our loving Creator to be prejudiced against others. Much like slavery was
@KaiserFilmProduction This is very true, I often ask myself, why couldn't some churches play some (Rock) or perhaps even some (Rap) music, as long as it's Christ centered? The (style) of music shouldn't be a problem just as long as the (Song) or the (Lyrics) involved is about Christ or even about things dealing with personal issues. (Rock, Metal, Rap) etc are all styles of music, but it's like the church for some reason shuns against those kind of styles of music, which I find is very strange.
I saw decyfer down in orange tx, they opened for skillet and I was completely blown away. this band is awesome and their recent album is great. I wish they were on the lineup for the upcoming show in the woodlands.
american Christianity is apostate when this is passed off as Christian James 4:4 Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 1Jn2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
you realize this means don't love the objects of the world because they won't last and don't pass on with you when you die. It doesn't mean shun the people of the world, because Christianity is based on following Christ who said "love thy neighbor like you love youself"-Matthew 22:29
im not gonna lie, i thought the band was gonna be iffy w/out caleb, but tj is impressive. i miss caleb, but i cant wait to see what tj is gonna bring to the band. i love them both, their both so talented :]
Yeah and I mean really... You all have to think about it like this at this point. This is still the music business even though this is christian music. Right now, I would say that TJ is at the "hired gun" status. What if Caleb gets all his problems worked out? His brother is still the drummer, I wouldn't rule out Caleb coming back at some point.
I think it's hard to decide who's better. Decyfer Down will always be Caleb but we gotta accept what we've been given. It could have been a lot worse. I think TJ is really the best they could have done at replacing Caleb.
I hear ya, Caleb really made the songs for Decyfer Down for me with his vocals, and i was a bit skeptical back when i heard they had TJ in his place, but after hearing his version of 'Fading' i can honestly say that he's a perfect fit. I'm really hopeful for the band with T.J., but I wish Caleb was still around too...
I don't know to much about this band since I only found out about them a few months ago, but they are an AWESOME band and I LOVE this song!! Does this same singer also sing the song "Crash" or was that the old singer? Like I said, I don't know to much about them.. LOL.
yeah i think its caleb in this vid cause hes out front playin bass. and i dont think they said if tj can do bass and sing. it definately sounds like calebs signature voice tho.
i just saw a video that was taken at xfest and it looked like they took out caleb and replaced him with a lead singer and a new bassist. someone get back to me on that cuz i hope he didnt get replaced he was awesome.

@demondager.
So true so true.
My church family (not my REAL family because we all have the same taste in music) would all have a heart attack in a flash if they heard this song.
Sheesh what am I saying. "promise of a lifetime" by kutless would upset them.
