Beachy Waves- How to Scrunch to make it last - Updated

I haven't yet found a good scrunching method for my hard to scrunch straight hair but I'm thinking of trying this! Did you clamp your hair up before or after scrunching?

second of all, i have the exact same type of hair as you (curly/wavy)!

and third of all, i'm not sure, but i think keratin can cause cancer. i'm not sure, i just think yo might want to do some research, because keratin treatments cause cancer, but then again, it is probably another ingredient in the keratin treatment. just stay safe!

That's the most realistic beach waves I've seen yet on youtube. It's almost exactly what wavy hair does when you've gone swimming at the beach.

Thanks for adding how to achieve it with straight hair, as mine used to be wavy/curly (used this same scrunching technique), but got a Brazilian Blowout and now it's straight and harder to hold a wave. Not used to styling it yet, never had straight hair before. :)

i have wavy hair like you. everyone alwasy wants me to tell them how i scrunch my hair. this is what i do: maybe u can try: 1)let hair damp 2)get heat protection 3)put hairspray on hair, and scrunch 4)get mousse and scrunch 5)get gel and scrunch. 6)optional:you could put it in a bun and let it sit overnight or a couple hours. (:

@oregonchic15 ya know... idk.... there is a brand at sephora, its called Carol's Daughter and it is FABULOUS for ethnic hair!!!! soooo amazing!!! If you have a sephora near you go in and ask for samples to see if you like it!

@bex16852 it should, just make sure you use a diffuser. If it doesnt that just means you need more product. and not more mousse cuz then it will get crunchy. Try using a creme or gel then adding some mousse or things like that. Its all trial and error really. finding what works for you :)
