@boscobiz First of it's *ridiculous*, and second, I highly doubt you are even the caliber of player that is worthy of making such a comment. When you play like Virgil, post a video, then make your comments. Other than that, grow up.
These guys are true talents and really are not in the same category to compare to those pop guys. For one thing.. there are a lot of musicians that play pop that really do blow ass. Some guys just get better chances than others. These three are beasts and really have nothing to proove.
I'm here to talk about the existence of a brand new musical experience called Idaea. The influence ranges from Planet X, Meshuggah, Dream Theater, Chick Corea to Contemporany and Experimental music. It would be really cool if you visited our myspace and added coments, thoughts and opinions!:
From this point forward, anyone who mentions Travis BArker, especially trying to compare him to Virgil, Marco, Dave W., or any other world class drummer, needs to shoot themselves in the head immmediately. Your a fucking moron and we are all better off if your dumb ass just dies today and never procreates.

I was in a bar munching popcorn with a friend. We laughed and smiled when this came on and said, "drummer sounds like a broken Sears washing machine with some dudes tuning up their bass and guitar and fiddling around. Travis Barker would smoke this dude on the kit." We giggled and pointed at the TV and said, "this is gibberish!" All of a sudden a big fist slapped my ear and my ham sandwich flew all over the bar. A big foot kicked out my tooth while the guy laughed and called me an ass!
@matiasbatero Adair is a decent drummer I watched a few of his drum solo vids awhile back. Either way it doesn't matter how skillful you are, if the music you play is bad then its bad hehe maybe why hes the ex drummer
@matiasbatero 2 people just don't like it. You and your friend are immature fucks. I don't listen to Nickleback. I loved Blink 182 as a kid. Daniel and Barker are both good drummers. Nobody, is anybody in position to compare. If they sucked, they wouldn't fucking tour the world all the time. So yeah.
How could they even be jamming if they are not (obviously) playing in the same time and place? I suppose they all had the same backing track to play to, and later all three parts were combined into this nice clip here.
I've seen Virgil play sence 1997 when I went to MI in Hollywood and he just keeps getting better and better, I think he will without a dought will be one of those people that catch on fire from the inside out lol lol lol.... I remember him comming to the school to jam with TJ,and Brett, 2 guitars no bass player, thay made such great music just jamming I could'nt believe it.... I say HATs OFF to that kind of talent, from Rockin' BobbyB.
what's the logo on Virgil's shirt? impossible is A.. ? i think he wanted to write "impossible is that we can play so many notes, yet groove like mad.."

The way the drums are miked, you can't hear his grace notes on his snare or ride cymbal.

These guys aren't jamming - all their parts are way too structured..
visog 1 year ago
@visog sometimes there is a really basic structure in which they can "jam" around soloing and shredding. But you're right, not 100% jam.
Artmetropolis 1 year ago
@Artmetropolis 100% not jam. As long as they keep specific structure and riffs, it's all premeditated and can't be a jam. That's how i see it.

This is amazing. The bass is gr8, the guitar is gr8 but the drums are for me what sets it apart. Top notch from all three players. Brilliant stuff.

Brilliant playing but it's not jamming! This was arranged and rehearsed. It doesn't take away from the playing though.
