How would you like to be a young actor like christ odonell here.Sitting next to not only a seasoned veteran, but one of the greatest actors in cinematic history. To top it off,you have a front row seat right next to al giving the perfomance of lifetime. Its all down hill after this lol.It cant get any better as a young actor.
This scene and the plea of the Devil himself in "The Devil´s Advocate" are priceless. I dunno who wrote both of the scripts but it surely made a huge impression on me, ever since I saw them.
@PhaeryGirl...Devils Advocate was based on a novel by Andrew Neiderman. The screenplay was written by Lawrence Cohen, and was revised 4 times by 3 people. I don't know who wrote the screenplay for Scent. But I will soon.
William Howard Taft went to Yale and William Jennings Bryan went to illinois College. Still a great speech, though. Bryan was a Democrat and Taft was a Republican (both believed in "world peace"), so the possible implication is that this profligate prep school of degenerate whores plants its moles in any party.
This is such an incredible performance, not just this scene, nor the "I'm in the dark here"-scene, but the entire movie. Acting as its best. The interaction between the two lead actors is amazing.
@kingdrewew I haven't seen all AL Pacino's films or even half of them, but this is the best Speech I've seen from the movies of his I have watched. It's such a damn good speech, Pacino forever!
@orginalweezysworld U havent seen Godfather? U son of a bitch. I cant stop watching Godfather. I put the movie on while im brushing my teeth in the mornings. I go to sleep to it. I named my son the Godfather. My dogs name is Michael Corleone. I named my daughter Al Pacino. I rather masturbate to the Godfather before I do to Alexis Texas (Ass woman) porn. I started a new church for the italian mob. But u never seen the Godfather? U fucking suck.
Mmm you can just smell the satanic spawn of ambiguous, faceless, corporate drones all wondering which bosses asshole they need to lick so they can get an unappreciative cunt and little slice of hell. I'll take integrity and heart over soulless dead conformist consumers of satan's cock. Tell 'em all to fuck off Frank, Charlie doesn't need these compromised ass-sniffers in his life.
@madara8719 ......to becoming and being a individual with a decent and strong character and personality, not being afraid to go against the current of hypocrisy, double standards, sell-outs, corruption and so much more.
I've watched loads of movies. Many of them great. It's EXTREMELY hard to choose a favourite movie. But Scent of a Woman was probably the best movie ever. Of all time. IN any language.
@bokguszzz i get goosebumps and teary eyed....such a great bond the two characters built in that short weekend....they literally both saved each others life :)
@Oldmisery1 I'm a dumb sheep? For what? What is it we have here... oh yes... an internet troll. . I don't want to hear it. What a big stupid moron. Great point of it too: Be just and pure spirited as Charlie is, but when it is needed to defend principles, integrity and honor, stand up for yourselves, like Frank does it.
This is Pacino we are talking about... just check out his speech in "And justice for all"... there isn't another actor like him out there. An absolute legend.
this character Sgt. Frank Slade knows how to dance, how to drive, how to speak effectively.. what a man! The only weakness he had seems like the fact he was blind. :-(((
@singingindark12 I don't think being blind was his biggest flaw. He was a very flawed character, but that's the beauty. All of us, even with our flaws, have much to give.
