  • pit corps get no respect. :S

  • Fanfuckingtastic as we used to say back in the day.

  • At 0:22 was that guy hitting a propane tank?

  • @Idn42 ?

  • @Idn42 yes.

  • where has the guy at 1:53 marched before? I have a feeling ive seen him before... hmm.

  • @drumer93 rhythm x?

  • @drumer93 Awesome stop point by the way... haha on a hit... its fun to press over and over again...

  • WOOOW cymbal player at 8:42 is wearing a jacket. in sumer drum corps.

  • @apprenticeofthewind Lots of people in drumcorp did it, to stop from getting sunburned, my solution was sunscreen, u get sunburned no matter wat, unless ur wearing a jacket

  • @SnareDrummer26 yeah i realized that after i posted the comment haha. but still...bring lots of lotion and get an epic tan.

  • @apprenticeofthewind Well, they did say it was like nine in the morning. Some summer mornings, depending on the location, can be cool enough to wear a light jacket comfortably.

  • ahhhh awesome :D

  • We had a great recording session that day. I even remember lying down on the turf and just taking in the sun.....it was great to relax.

  • whole opener reminds me of west side story.

  • thats because it is XD

  • it is west side story...

  • @thefarter735 think about why........

  • Pretty Tasty Concert Bass at 0:51

  • fill at 2:55 is sweet!!!

  • lol was the car horn in the beginning of the show part of it?

  • i believe it is part of the show

  • Comment removed

  • its part of the show i believe, its been in a lot of late season recordings. Its synth generated.

  • Woah it looks like the snares are using a three-point fulcrum in their right hands... could this be true?

  • you guys are all whack..you know its true

  • Percussions deffinately not the same.......

  • waddaya mean

  • i feel like i would like this show a lot more if i saw it on the field. but it was still great and i loved it

  • I have an instructor how has been with the Cadets for a couple years, I think this was his last year. Go Pit!

  • why is the drumline using to old school harnesses?

  • @invatorme it's like asking "why are the cadets still using the same uniforms that they've had for the past 75 years?"

  • Because they're the cadets? lol

  • @invatorme Well one school of thought is the whole "75th anniversary, more old school" thought. But i also heard that they had some issues with the ones they had last year in terms of chafing or something.

  • @invatorme its actually because the newer ones have a ton of moving parts, and when you're rehearsing for 12-14 hours a day, it gets to be to the point where they have more opportunity to fail. The old school harnesses are nearly indestructible.

  • incorrect

  • LOVE IT!! great job

  • two of the techs are with my band one is a colorguard and marching instructer another is brass.

  • my marching instructor and 3 of the techs for my high school marching band march/marched cadets.

  • 927 why the hell are you wearing a jacket

  • I wanna learn that marimba part at 2:05, I know a guy who really hates West Side Story and that would drive him nuts XD

  • the dude at 1:11 looks alot like my friend, but i know that isnt him, i dont think, i think he marches spirit...

  • That's "America"...

  • What's the song the start playing at 3:59?

  • @corgonin "America" is the name of the song

  • gah being a cadet would confuse me so bad, marching off the right foot, yet these guys are freaking amazing :D

  • 7:06

The snare on the left is doing the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" Dance!!!

    TOTAL WIN!!!

  • hey thats me

  • Sir....what you did was epic.....

  • good job dear sir.... loved it

  • my high school drumline uses those exact same harnesses..

  • good for you. want a cookie?

  • just sayin..

  • In my opinion, that wasnt bad for spring training

  • lul miami university.

  • 8:44 - 8:45 early cymbal crashes!

  • FAIL! I'm a drummer. I went over and over it just now a dozen times those are nailed! DOH!

  • It was spring training! Chill out!

  • I feel soooooo bad for the Pit. Those Cymbals must be BURNING hot, but they choke it like its nobdy's buisness. xD

  • its not heavy at least like the bass drum

  • west side story fool. and yea the old man aungst retired cuz of "being away from his family, and such" but hey he still writes for the best high school indoor percussion. lil mini cadet line dartmouth. lulz

  • "best" lol..

  • yeah thats a load of crap cause he went to the blue stars.....

  • and the Blue Stars too

  • This is the first Cadets show since 2003 that I actually like.

  • wtf how can you not like the 2005 show?

  • Miami guy plays a wrong note at 8:22

  • You mean to tell me no talking this year. I think that's great.

  • OMG look its COOl DANiEl !!

You guys did great yesterday (8.2.09)

    See you next year

    -Nat

( Passic High School Marching Band )

  • so when you guys stayed in chattanooga someone left a toothbrush. Idk if we still have but..yeah.

  • what happened to tom aungst it says on vic firth that colin mcnutt is there captain head

  • out withthe old in withthe new. aungst stopped writting good shit around 98.

just listen to this writting. McNutt is the shit.

  • yeah but where did he go

  • he stepped down, colin mcnutt is the caption head and writes the battery book. i think ian grohm writes the pit book, because neil larrivee retired as well (from cadets at least)

  • what's their show this year?

  • hope that car horn at 0:33 doesn't come out on the cd

  • wow... i thought it was suppose to be in there haha

  • it's suppose to be

  • I can't wait to see the Show in Atlanta. Even better, i just found out the cadets will be practicing at the nearby school in my county. As will Carolina Crown and the Colts aswell. lol

  • I am going to Atlanta this weekend to see the BIG SHOW! I CANT WAIT!

  • Great corps! I had goosebumps at around 8:25 .

My high school performed WSS my freshman year in 2003 and that just brought back a lot of memories.

  • 6:36 ...hot damn. Drums tearing shit up, throwing shit down.

Just shit everywhere...good shit...not dirty shit...the quick no wipe, clean shit.

In terms where I don't compare anything to shit...I love the book. Sounds a little better. And the show sounds pretty badass. The top 4 this year is ridiculous...hell top 10 even. What a good year for drum corps eh?

  • Say shit more, it makes you sound cooler.

  • OK.

  • their hornline is pretty sweet

  • nice

  • they're playing in hattiesburg next wednesday. and they're practicing in my schools stadium :D

  • That was pretty banging :]

  • nice, good show

  • cutie at the end

  • Continuing with the snare chick comment...didn't SCV have a female center snare for 2008?

  • That was 2007 for sure during the "Eureka" show, but it also could be 2008 if she didnt age out. She was bad ass.

  • Definitely did not age out. SCV was rehearsing at some high school, and I saw the drumline sectionals.

  • @Zeus34747: yea, the phenomenon of cool included the wss song "cool". in BDs show, it was the part where the trumpets played the lick with the pedal tones at the end

  • JOSH GALL!!!!

  • do you mean jake gall? haha hes awesome

  • This is such a well written show. What better says Cadets that WSS? I am also glad that there is no voice and the electronics (which BTW I would prefer not be in there) usage is minimal and tasteful.

  • Referring to the 'center chick posts' ... it was 1984. Her name was Diane. I met her while marching in Troopers. I'll give any of you young 'whipper snappers' two jelly beans if you can guess correctly what the show was that year. :) BTW She had chops like an Oregon Lumberjack !! LOL (real talk)

  • pause at 1:20

i met the guy with the green hat and the 2 guys outside of them and the whole bassline and some other snares on tuesday and i got to play their excercises with them it was sweet!

  • is dat a chick at 2:57

  • yup

  • either a chick or a dude wearing a sports bra....don't dis the chicks...they had a center snare chick a while back

  • dont get me wrong, im all on wit a chick on da line.....last time they had one they won evrything

  • TGASSS

  • woww look at that man's shorts at 3:39

    dayummmm

  • those are some mean singles for a pit player at about :50

  • holy shit your right

  • Did the 2003 blue devils use some of this music? Like, the jazzy-ish parts? It sounds familiar.

  • LOL at the snare at 7:08

  • haha yeah kind of a tool, but the music sounds great

  • haha hilarious =]

  • the mellophones rock!!!! i lu lu lu lu looooove all the runs at the end of the opener and the closer!!!!!
