If you make your own lip gloss with Vaseline it is very moisturizing Vaseline is good for burns cuts dry skin making your eyelashes longer and it is very helpful product

Petroleum jelly is not good for you but, the color is really pretty. You should try a natural oil like Coconut Oil.

@maxscar18 They contain zinc and parabens but they would only be harmful if you ate like 10 eye shadow palettes, and even then you would probably just get a headache or something (and that would probably be from breathing it in, not digesting it). They are no different from the pigment they put in other coloured lip glosses. Not healthy but not dangerous. If you want more natural colouring use natural food colouring. It is a little harder to mix in.

Chesebrough Manufacturing Company (just to mention one) makes a product called Vaseline, which really is just a generic name for any petroleum jelly and is not by any means copyrighted or trademarked. I believe it's quite comparable to "Cola" in the world of carbonated beverages. The COMPANY name Vaseline is a different story however.

I just seen this vid, so i know i'm really late on this but a TIP for CLINIQUE lip gloss is put on some sort of chaptstick on before you put the lipgloss on and the stickness goes away and its even more smooth... i use carmex it workks really well.

wash ur hands in warm or hot water to take off the vaseline. vaseline is sorta oily so yeahh, like a frying pan with oil, oil dissapates with hot temps.

Sorry, but.... vaseline is just ew to me. I mean petroleum jelly is an oil product. Like what you put in your car. And doctors have proved that it's not absorbed into your skin at all, it just clogs up your pores and causes breakouts.

another way you could do it is take a chop of lipstick, put vasline in it and put it on a metel spoon and put it on your flat iron and watch it melt then you put it in a jar and let it dry
