Your sooooo bad at this...you should maybe moisten your humidor when you get home??? You MUST cure the humidor when you get home, no mention of spanish or engish cedar??? The seal can not be checked at the store, the wood rim that makes the seal needs to be wet to swell and make a better seal. AND distilled water is okay but glycol with Gel beads are the best longest lasting method of humidification!
Matt is not quaified to be in these video's period.
Most literature I've read say not to wet the humidor. This can have the possible effect of warping the wood or raising the cedar finish. Simply placing a dish of distilled water for 24 to 48 hours will be sufficient to season the box. Also, to keep it at 70 degrees humidity, best to buy humidity beads. They can release and absorb humidity to keep it at a almost constant 70 degrees. Also, best to get the digital hygrometer. They are far more accurate and need little adjusting over time.
hello sir. im new in the cigar business. in planning to try one probably next week. but the problem is i dont know what cigar best suites me, a novice. hopw you can help me here and more power.
cohibas are well known cigars of high quality but are stronger, being an occasional smoker (of tobacco) i prefer milder cigars. H.Upmann are mild nicotine wise but still pack bags of woody, nutty flavour.
are there some links to this cigar castle or is there some way they can send me some samples of what they have to offer in tampa ? write back driggers guy
it's okay if the outside of the humidor is not laquered. if it is, the inside of the box will warp and nobody likes that. if you must wet it, don't like saturate a rag with water and slap it on there, just dampen the rag just so and wipe it against the inside of the humidor to get just a little bit of moisture. you shouldn't really soak the inside of the box with water...
i'm having problems keeping my humidor at the right humidity, maybe its the stick humidifier it came with.
seems to stick around 60%

no you should take a damp cloth not too wet but just enough to lightly dampen the wood. Cedar is naturally dry, and to keep a 70%humidity in the air.

They don't have a website. However, if you'd like to give Atul (the owner) a call, I'm sure you could find out what he has: (813) 985-1300.
