actually, the original musical always had a sword fight, they just didn't put it in the movie. It was supposed to be part Growltiger, but I think they replaced it with that battle with the Peaks and the Pollicles.

@wmst3 well the entire thing is based on poems by T.S. Elliot, so almost any of the songs/stories could actually be taken out, put back in, and switched around with any of the other ones. As for the one the one that aired on TV, the actor who played Gus, who would also normally play Growltiger, was to old for any big movements, he was in is 90's and pretty much blind. In fact he died not to long after the filming.

I wish CATS could return to Broadway and be revived like Les Miserables and A Chourus Line was! That would be awesome because my dream is to see CATS on Broadway if it it does return to the Broadway stage and my dream is to also be in it as Munkustrap!

I think so...I suspect that is why they are touring right now to see if people still like and seeing as the show has been selling out where ever it goes..I would imagine yes!

I'm going to perform the musical in my room today at 1:00 p.m. it's going to be fun! I love CATS I've seen it on stage twice! The second time I saw it onsatge it was better than when I saw the video! Macavity scared me when I was 7 and I saw the video! I had nightmares about Mavavity.

CATS is one of the best shows that I have seen twice on tour and many times on video and DVD!I performed this musical in my room last week!I played Macavity,Mistoffelees,Gus,Grow­ltiger,and Munkustrap. I love this musical!It's one of my favorites!
