You have a pretty good feel for the piece. Two things, if you don't mind. You are using way too much sustain, it simply ruins it. Leave the pedal alone, or use it judiciously.

And the other thing is that your left hand is heavy-it fights the melody.

But the sustain is way overboard.

Nice job, although you lost me after the first page turn. You really have to have control and use a rubato technique and pay attention to the dynamics or make them up yourself. Emphasize the rh through the 3rd page. You should also memorize the piece.

I don't mean to be a spoiled sport, but you have a bad technique of playing the piano. You lift your wrists way too high (should be at level with the white keys) and have an awful tendency to curl the non-playing fingers too much. Don't tense up; just relax. And don't play too long with that kind of tension. It could lead to Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI). Other than that you play the piece nicely. I like the tempo. Some either play it too fast or too slow. Good job!

I'm sorry to hear that. Your previous teacher was awful! Well, keep trying to relax your hands and fingers, (but curl them as if your holding an apple), which was what my teacher also told me.

Anyway, where did you get this version of Cavatina? I'll be learning it on the classical guitar soon, but would love to learn it on the piano as well. BTW..my mom loves the sound of your German piano ;)
