MGO on the arcade? The PS3 version's learning curve is insane. I've been playing for 2 years and I'm probably mildly good at best, so people playing in the arcade might not fair to well.

A lot of people incorrectly believe that noob means newbie. There is a difference. A newbie is someone who is new, while a noob is someone who plays like a newbie and refuses to listen to advice / learn to play. I see no reason to remove the word from our vocabulary - but it would be good if people would learn to use it correctly. The funny thing is that most of those who use the word are (as you said) kids who can barely play properly themselves.
