  • what british english?? what are u complaning about??

  • good

  • great videos

    thank you

  • can't we sue "tace it easy" like " be carefull??

  • THAT WAS wonderful ! these lessons are GREAT!!!

  • Very nice, indeed!!!

  • Two English idioms I never understood, and still don't really, when I first began learning English were:

    1. "It's like comparing apples and oranges" - why wouldn't you compare apples and oranges? They're two different things! Ones red, the others orange, etc.

    2. "He wants his cake and to eat it to" - why shouldn't he eat his cake? It's his cake! Let him eat his cake!

I can understand the idioms that at least make logical sense, but some mean the opposite of their literal meaning :(

  • A wonderful way in teaching and I'm really enjoy your lesson....

  • Well, she has the ability to teach. little mistakes are ignorable. keep it up.

  • I'm broke = I have no money!

this expression is common in Brazil as well!!

    it's the same meaning!!

  • It means every hour of every day, not every minute of every day. I didn't watch any more!

  • You will also hear am skint mate, no dough, no cash, no wonga, no spondoolies or no bee's and honey. Sick and tired means bored of hearing, seeing or doing something. not hate hun

  • she has Expo markers

    i LOVE IT

    AND I LOVE HER

  • @2yoona I think she looks like miley cyrus too lol

  • This vid's so helpful and easy-listening :)). I'm gonna get by engvid.c

  • I'm really happy with your lessons.. congrats !

  • i've got problems to understand "to sleep on it".

  • @almogaverXIII "To sleep on it" means to think about it for a while.

  • @ITSbigwillystyle Thank you very much.

  • Thanks a lot for your help!

  • GREAT!!

The Brazilian students thank you for your initiative. Success for you!

  • You are very good on camera but you should work on enunciation.

  • VERY WELL DEVELOPED

  • wow overall nice

  • Thanks a lot!

  • thanks ,you are a great teacher .

  • I wonder what did she say at 1:05 and at 1:09 ? :(

  • @garanss 1:05 - "So I wrote it down because sometimes you this way twenty four seven"

    1:09 - "or numerically like this 24/7"

  • she is gr8.

  • I like this lesson.

    Good one.

    But...

I think that the most difficult thing in these ESL EngVid lessons is fluency of the language of the teachers.

Students who will listen to their explanations won't be able to get their words properly all the time.

I would be good if they taught fluency as well.

  • HI Valen Thank you so much for given me a hand.

  • com ose dice te queiro chupar las tetas en english?

  • puta que ricas tetas no puedo estudiar.

  • sharp

  • 10u i got something new in english today..give me a hand...echame la mano!! in ages...en anioss... thank you..for you time valen..i"ll appreciate!!!! : )

  • GREAT...........

  • Thanks,I learn a lot ^ ^

  • @krloncho09 it means to go mad or crazy

  • what does go bananas means

  • very well explained.....a teacher should talk slow so that we can understand wat she is saying.....we understand each n every word this way..but if teacher talks faster then this really cause difficult in understanding......she is really good.....saadia pakistan

  • Your enthusiasm for teaching English is a good example to people who has passion about doing their job.

  • Thank you very much teacher...... thanks alot from Pakistan

  • very nice teacher greeting for you from Egypt thanks alot

  • Hi Valen, biggest problem I face after your watching your lessons is that I forget it whe it comes to writing or speaking. What tips do you suggest for remembering your lesson and utilizing them in our daily conversatin. My question is about how to remember and memorize. Thanks!

  • Splendid tutorial! I've got a question concerning 'in ages'? Is it the same to say 'for ages'? Like for example, "I haven't seen him for ages"? Which is more correct? Greetings from Greece.

  • Nice teacher, and nice way of teching, very refreshing.

  • Thanks :) but the expression ''sick and tired'' really means fed up, as someone said in another comment.

  • Hello! I like your beautiful accent!

    Fer.

  • hum from 00:24 to 00:26 Valen your accent's so cute

    I like You'r Teaching style.

    Good Luck

    Bye

  • Thank you !

  • I like your lessons.

  • the teacher is very nice thanks for teaching.

  • nice teacher :-)

  • Even though I am naturally an English-speaker, I never really realized how strange our language's expressions can be until I randomly came across this video. Keep up with the good work of teaching English-learners. C:

  • thanks for you lesson i did lern from you.

  • Teachers work 24/7/365/12. :-)

  • Sick and Tired, does not mean i dislike or hate something. it means i am fed up with someone or something as in:-

I am sick and tired of people teaching bad English

i am sick and tired with Americas trying to teach British English

  • I agree

  • @thytra

"Fed up" is another expression in English which might not be known by the student.

These lessons are meant for those eager to learn English as a second language, not for smart alec native speakers.

  • @thytra Okay, sarcastic one, you just replaced her meaning with another common english expression

"fed up". So tell me then, how is one supposed to know what THAT means? Sorry, you would not be a good teacher like she is!!

  • miley cyrus

  • These are American expressions not English ones

  • u teach really good english... lookin forward for more of it

  • Can I help you writing on the board!!!

  • You can teach English very clear. Loves it and Thank for sharing ^_^

  • يسعد ربك ما احلاكي

  • I remember trying to ask a tired friend who came to my house from gym., "do you want to stay for the night?" but I asked "do you want to sleep "WITH" me". BAD! in fact, he still laughs & jokingly accuses me of rapping him in my house!. That is when I discovered the best way to master English is to study verb phrases not words or grammar. I realized children don't learn grammar rules or big words, yet they speak fluent English than I do. Why? because they grasp verb phrases. Thank YOU sister

  • @shashaniification That's hilarious!

  • @shashaniification That happened to me in a class I was teaching!

  • Thank you very much for the lesson ....... Wait for the next

  • Is she australian?

  • really thank u 4 helping us

  • It's a good help for me to learn English . Thank you Ms.!!!!!!!

  • What you're teaching here are idioms. Teaching idioms is a waste of students time. They will be learned naturally through common usage as students levels increase. You could spend your students time much more effectively.

  • @ObservationaLee Sorry, I didn't want to distract them from watching videos of cats on skateboards.

  • Hello Valen,

  • You've "got the ball rolling" with videos on line. I work "24/7" too. I haven taken a vacation "in ages". At first I wasn't sure of posting a comment. I needed to "sleep on it" before posting it. It's 5th day on the month and "I'm broke". I need to attend a meeting at 2 in the afternoon "sharp!". I know the road map to my office "like the back of my hand". Do you wanna "give me a hand" in learning more expressions? I'm "sick and tired" of managing a resource. I need to "Take it easy" though.

  • nice teacher

  • Thanks a lot Valen Esl... I encounter your pronuciation very good and sofhisticated, I bet you are from Southern California.

Thanks again and May God bless You. Great Job keep on going please...

  • @orochBRAWL yes they do

  • Very good!

But can you pls stop dropping the "G"!

If you are trying to teach a proper English PLS do not say GONNA , WANNA!! It is driving me crazy!
