I don't get why Emp wasn't just blocking...

Kefka's magic attacks are a pain when they home back to its caster, especially the ice thingy, since the shattering has a sprite animation, so he's basically an easy target if you block the initial move

@narcass You have to keep in mind that the Emperor is also a magic type character, so he has to keep his distance unless he REALLY knows what he's doing.

Blocking Kefka's attacks isn't as easy as it sounds unless your playing as ExDeath with High Guard. Multiple projectiles generally mean that you may block one or two, but you almost always get hit by any other.

@BlueStar72 Thats why the basic combo for Kefka is either Fireball + Scatterspray Blizzaga, or Two Fireballs then SS blizzaga..

Err... he does that weird dance thingy that creates the ice shards from the initial block, and thats apparently hard to dodge out of.

But I've seen it done since writing that though, so thats probably just wrong.
