@pkrames however, it's the most played women's sport in the southern hemisphere, and known for being a killer for knees and ankles. It's a great sport, very hard and faster than basketball.

I don't understand how people can think this is more exciting to watch than women's basketball, or even women's college basketball.

Nothing against the sport, and I'm sure it's fun to play, but man, it's definitely not too fun too watch. :/

Everything is just so... slow. There's virtually no intensity. But, whatever floats your boat.

@animecat9137 @animecat9137: With any sport, thinking it is slow just stems from an inability to understand it. Its the same with me, I think soccer is dead boring for the same reason as you do netball.

Its a very hard sport to play in the State/National levels, even the club representative level requires a lot of skill to be selected into. It is rough, girls I know have had serious surgery from netball injuries.

Reserve judgement until you play. Netball and basketball are so different.

@kateclaudia I'll admit I'm wrong, and you are exactly right. It does depend on preference, and I was a bit harsh. Everyone has their opinion, and I'm sure people feel the same as I do about netball about basketball, and I love basketball.

I found out a short while ago that power-walking is an olympic sport. In comparison to that, this is a Hollywood blockbuster full of excitement... Power-walking even makes golf seem exciting... But again, that's my personal preference.

One of my mates does power walking - its pretty funny to watch her, it just seems ... unnatural? Haha I don't know - yes you are right: preference is what it comes down to.
