  • how bad is it that i had to look up a review of this case in order to see what the internals looked like.. only two pics of the outside of the case on the antec site :/

    thanks 3dgameman!

  • hi. is there a VESA mount feature on this case?

  • I love 3DGAMEMAN review, best on Youtube.

  • orientate is not a word...

  • @bvdyt Technically, it's not.. But since you we understood what he meant, it's a word.. Now, Mr. Genius, let's get back to topic, shall we?

  • is the PSU fan a 80 mm fan too??

  • @NykvarnAnton yes i have this case on my computer

  • What the hell does he say @ 0:15? "Hello Gamrod numerals".... Urinals?

  • @Yakazuka

    He says

    "Hello again, i'm rodney renolds"

  • @dark0ssx Do you not think he says it like proper fast??

like he should enter the guiness world records for the fastest name saying.... crazy,

thanks for clearing that one up for me though.. lol

  • Would one be able to put a EVGA GTX 430 in it?

  • @alaskanhybrid Figure out how many amps on the 12 volt line it needs. Then see how much your cpu will require and what the psu will provide. Then do some math and you'll see.

Of course the motherboard you intend to purchase will need to have the proper slot to put the card in.

  • The mainboard makers and the rest always puts a higher spec for the PSU than you need coz they know there are so many super sucky PSU makers outthere. I´ve have tested LOTS of PSU:s rated around 550-650w but the weight on them felt like they where made of paper. There are no good deals on PSU:s if it´s cheap, you can be damn sure it´s cheap on the inside too.

  • This PSU hype is a bit overrated. As long as you pick a good brand with "real power" you will be fine. Usually the weight and the price telling you what´s on the inside. I´ve been running very powerhungry hardware with PSUs around 380w with no problem. I had a nVidia 9800GX2, 3 harddrives BIG fan,s DvD`s, 4 mem, 5 USB slots populated and lot´s of OC at the same time and the PC was never unstable. The GX2 generated so much heat even in idle that i could hardly touch it.

  • @ZoDDyXXX While few people will need over 450 watt, higher is justified for some setups.(12 harddrives, quad sli, dual cpu, the works). And I do not know of a brand outside of Sweex, Qtec that advertises anyhting but the actual psu rating(I assume that is what you mean by "real power"). This does not mean it's a good psu. Weight is merey an indication, like the amps on every line and I have a cheapass BeQuiet 300 watt powering a server, cheap being good. Overrated: OCZ, AOpen. Good: Seasonic.

  • @lesleyhenriquez Sweeks and Qtec is great examples on very poor PSU:s without any "Real power"

It´s possible that you can measure the rated power when they are not under load. Put them under pressure and they will fail or make the PC very unstable or reboot. Another example is a few models of Antec. They had a model called Smart power a couple of years ago. They werent smart at all coz both of them blew up two pretty expensive customer PC:s and talking to Antec was equal talking to a wall.

  • would one be able to install a graphics card in there?

  • we all have our own share of knowledge ( although easily accessed through the internet ) and not all can digest that share , thats why people need each other . so just relax and calm yourself you never know who's going to be your next tutor :) .

  • Can you put any more pauses between your words!!!!

  • @cred5

I think he does an excellent job and keeps it very clean and basic.

He always gives you the most important info and doesn't just go on with crap like other people do.

  • I've been subscribed for a little while but I've always wondered one thing. Why do you always have a separate unboxing video apart from the video review? Seems to me like it would save time if you just added the unboxing to the beginning of the video review.

  • @dethtilldeath gets him more views...

  • 2:07 I/O shoel plate :)

  • man I love your stuff, got a tough question for you, I want to build a mini itx htpc that i can take to work with me and I do not want the nvidia ion setup, they currently have a few motherboards in ITX form factor that support pci but none of the cases I have found seem to have a power supply big enough to utilize the pcix slot if a video card were installed, save the lian li case that takes a standard atx power supply... I guess what I am asking is do you know of a case that takes micro atx ps

  • @henrykeith69

Just to help you out, how about an i3/i5 setup with the new Gigabyte H55N-USB3?

It'll be much more powerful than a nVidia ion and you don't need to install another graphics card.

  • @U238Shell be aware though that the GigaByte H55N-USB3 requires a minimum power supply of 200W , so i think 250-300W will be just fine .

  • @SuperGoemon thats is what is recomended

  • @ASAWProductions i didn't get you , but the case comes with 150w power supply and the gigabyte H55N-USB3 motherboard requires a MINIMUM power supply of 200w so the PS included with this case will not be sufficient , hope this helps :)

  • @SuperGoemon I don't think so. My other computer features a Zotax mini ITX mainboard w/ Core 2 Duo E8400, two 2,5" HDDs, an optical drive, and two fans and runs just fine with a 120W picoPSU!

  • @SFseis well you have to think so , otherwise your PC won't post/start .building a PC is not a guess work , just go to gigabyte site search > motherboards > intel socket 1156 > H55 > GA-H55N-USB3 > specifications > remarks ( dyed in RED ) " 3.Minimum 200 Watts Power supply is suggested on this model " .

  • @SuperGoemon The point is... I don't just guess ;-) Manufacturers *always* advertize with higher wattages "just to make sure." These numbers have nothing to do with reality. I mean, what's on the mainboard that would require a 300W power supply? What's more important than wattage, is the current, the power supply can deliver on the certain rail. So all you got to do is make sure, the power supply delivers enough amps to start and you'll be just fine.

  • @SuperGoemon And let me tell you, what my gaming pc consists of: HD5750, Q9650 CPU, 4GB RAM, HDD + ODD and this one runs just fine on a 280W power supply although a 400W PSU is recommended by Asus. Well I gotta admit, that in this particular case the PSU gets a warmer under full load, but still nothing to be concerned of: max load GPU is around 90W, CPU around 50W, HDD + ODD around 10W + fans and RAM equals to 160W +/- under full load! So 280W is just fine as is 120W for this mainboard.

  • @SFseis well it seems you know your work better than i do , still with the lack of knowledge one would play it safe and head for recommendations . come to think of it i GUESS you're right , really what could get this amount of wattage ? i know rails are the most imporatant aspect . but you got my thumbs up for running your G.PC on 280W with that build . still i can't recommend any PS less than 200W for any user , i might do it myself but not to others :) .

  • @SuperGoemon Well. yea, you're right about this: Just to make sure, it might not be that bad after all to get a minimum 200W PSU. Especially for someone who's not that into PC building. I just get a little angry from time to time when people recommend a 500W PSU for an office PC w/ integrated graphics. I mean, yea they're inexpensiva nowadys...500W...400W whatever. But this is just so overkill. I just really like to balance my systems so that no ressources are wasted ;-)

  • @SFseis Depends on how the wattage is divided among the lines. I have brought a Coolermaster 450 watt to its knees with not much more. 5 volt gave out.

  • @U238Shell of course this is NOT taking in account the reguirments of your choice of processor and graphic card so calculate your power consumption needs properly .

  • i'd rather be interested in the remaining space between motherboard/cpu and the top of the casing.

resp. are there any coolers for a zotac/core2 combination that fit into the case?

  • soooo were does the hard drive go???

  • is the motherboard tray removable?

  • nopeeeee

  • too bad you cannot install aditional NIC`s because this would make a perfect home server case :|

  • @xulodeberca NOT/

    you cannot install

  • I am laughing my head off from the closed captions that i turned on. It pretty much makes every video funny as hell.

  • LMFAO At the audio captions XD ROFL

  • LOL the subtitles are hilarious!

  • 150w? thats weak my Mini-ITX Hp slimline has a 180watt stock PSU.

  • 30 more watts doesn't make that "weak" compared to the 180 watt unit you speak of.

  • @iTehTunePawd some only have 60 watts...

  • @iTehTunePawd my stock power is 600 watts and its a craptop

  • 0.32

"Manuals?" lolz sound like you weren't sure

  • It looks like a decent little case. I could see this used as a home theater case, or for a media center in a car perhaps.

  • @GarrettBMXes yeah I thought the same thing when the lower PSU model case came out. Would fit nice under most vehicles' seats. I would love to get one to use as an HTPC though. That's more realistic than me ever having a computer in my car!

  • @wombat023

I took an older Pentium 4 Socket 775 system and integrated it into the trunk of my car, and bought a 12v car PSU from some CarPC website I founf googling around. I ran it to an old notebook LCD and used a presentation remote to browse media center. It was a really cool little computer, but I had troubling finding a solution to internet access for a GPS system.

  • i see not captions

  • I cant stop laughing at the captions.

  • ideal for servers

  • LOL 0:21 captions "three hundred one fifty many iraqi extremists"

  • not a bottleneck or anything lol

  • Lol Read the captions at 0:47

  • also at 2:28

  • what sort of pc will you use this for? i really dont know 150w thats less then my cpu.

I cant think of much use for them.

  • its for atom CPU's.

  • @mujmujmuj can't say i have ever heard of them, ill look it up later.

What sort of programs would you use it for? basic web browsing? or database?

  • Intel atom proccecors, they are used in for example netbooks and some laptops.

  • Check out 1:06 and turn the captions ON

    "Iraqi extremists" funny . LOL

  • @Shaazzaarr LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • @Shaazzaarr ? lol lies? i cant see it or have i fallen for a rick roll of lies?

  • those captions are so funny he talks too fast for them

  • keep up the good work, rodney! love to watch your videos - competent and professional!

    best regards from germany

  • Cant wait till he gets the new HD Radeon 5830 on here. Im really lookin forward to seeing somethin on that.

  • I'd rather get the Lian Li Mini ITX case

  • when well you get the ati 5830 rodney? :)

cant wate to see a review for it

  • so like you can insert what goes into a " EE PC" into this and that'd be pushing it?

  • lol no overpowered video cards in this case :X

  • why you always smile when your saying the modelname? XD

  • that thing will also keep the desk clean by sucking all dust in it

  • Yeah, seriously. I don't understand the manufacturers way of thinking in this regard. The primary function of any enclosing is to protect what's inside, yet the designers somehow find it a good idea to excessively perforate all sides and basically make a cage out of it. The problem isn't limited to Antec.

Lian Li's PC-Q08 has a completly perforated back- and underside of the case without dustfilters despite having a massive 140mm front and 120mm top blower installed. This is just stupid.

  • why do they include a mobo shield plate with the case btw? i mean every pc has different connections

  • What is mini sata power?

  • You Can't overclock with this type of case

  • I wonder is Prolimatech Megahalems gonna fit this bitch. This box its gonna be like a condom for it. On the serious note - who needs this crap anyway? Why can't you buy a WD TV and be done with it?

  • I would love to have one of these, with a VIA Nano MINI ITX board, and 500GB HD and DVD-RW to make a nice little HTPC to hook to my 42in LCD TV, that I have in my media room, with wireless keyboard with a track pad too of course. ;-)

  • Could you build a mini gaming rig with this or is it better to just get a laptop?

  • Comment removed

  • @sherazuki Actually I mean like a little rig of LAN partys

  • a radeon 5450 would fit in it

  • no way in hell

  • you can get i7 itx rigs built but it would not fit a big gpu.

  • @sherazuki laptoop u will be lucky to play mini games on this

  • nice little case

  • is it possible for you to put a light at the wall end of the table, sometimes there are shadows

  • who would use a small computer and what for?

  • @Metalozedex HTPc computer or computer for office or for mom W/e the applications are endless use some imagination

  • yeh, i saw small computers cost for like 700$ wtf?

  • @Metalozedex Isn't weird when they have like a Core 2 extreme and 8 gigs of ddr3.

  • wouldn't you buy a normal pc then?

  • @Metalozedex a media center client?

  • How cute.

You can actually play COD4 in this size of case.

  • That hole looks like it's be great for a wireless antenna.

  • haha this beta caption thing really makes videos more fun! Mini ITX is seen as Iraqi extremists xD

  • WOW, I just turned it on also, its so funny it had my hurting on my sides...

  • i remember building a mini pc once, there was no ventilation at all in my case. but it was pretty quiet ^^

  • dissapointing review. i wished you would fill this case with some life, demonstrate the assembly, cabling etc.

basically i did not see much more than in the unboxing video and how big this thing is i can read on the manufacturers website..

  • i can guess what he'll say about this case: GREAT

he has always said GREAT for all HTPC cases

  • look nice in the ol ham shack

  • Dover and otis elevators!

  • I think this is made for media centers

  • I think Antec lost its touch anyone else agree a bit?

  • explain?

I think they are doing great from their current lineup of cases

  • I know but antec has become a bit boring and repetitive to me, i remember when the antec 900 came out it was the best cause it stood out from most antec cases, but thats just imo

  • Why do case manufacturers include IO shield plates? I doubt they're actually compatible with any motherboard.

  • Actiually, that's a good question lol.

  • A very good question indeed. Fact is, most case don't include them since all new motherboards come with motherboard I/O shield plates anyway.

  • quality went a bit bad, what happened to hd?

  • No it didn't.

  • antec ftw

  • even if u could fit ur 5970, the power supply probably cant handle it since its only 150W

  • tehre is no way in hell it would fit taht or power that

  • 150W Power Supply and a 5970 video card. SMH.

  • No you can't!

you only have one expasion slot on this case. For 2 5970 you probably need 4

  • you won't be placing 2 5970 in a mini case anyway. This case is for a tv computer or so. Whoever says that this is for gaming is nuts.

  • @louislouis33: People don't care. Gamers will say that the case sucks because that's all they buy cases for and think that computers are only for gaming. LOL.

  • There's only one expansion slot, so no.

  • hmmm...it looks bigger on video i guess? lol

    thanks for the fast responses

  • Dude, that impossible, the power supply should give that away.

  • kinda bad quality but review is good :)

    Also the product is great.

  • It's not bad.

  • @kohupiim51 What's up with your eyes man.

  • nvm, now its better.

  • Sweet May have to by it been looking a Mini ITX for ages and i love Antec products.

    Keep up the good work:)

  • love it

  • Lol 2 views :P

  • That was fast.

  • too bad its a slim 5.25" bay thats lame
