From the 1960's Terrytoons barn of cartoon characters, like the more familiar 'Mighty Mouse' and 'Heckle and Jeckle' shows. But I prefered Deputy Dawg, because it was so localized to the South, where I'd never been up to that point in my young life. Little did I know I'd later meet real life versions of Deputy Dawg and his nemisis, Muskie the Muskrat, his sidekicks Vincent Van Gopher and Roger Raccoon, etc. :-) (less info)
