During a typical airshow season, I will travel up and down the eastern seaboard of the United States - within five hours of Philadelphia, PA - to capture some of the best airshows in the country and share them with everyone. The days can be long - as early as 3 AM to as late as midnight or even later.

I've been asked before if this is my job. I wish it was, and I wish I got paid big bucks to do this. I spend countless dollars every year to be able to go to all of these shows, spend countless dollars on equipment every year, and the majority of the time, it pays off. I've loved aviation ever since I was little, and being able to go to airshows allows me to appreciate aviation more and more. Nowadays, it's not just the airplanes - its also the pilots, the crew chiefs, and everyone else in between. I have numerous friends in the airshow industry and I value their friendship as much as anything else in my life.

When you watch any of the videos here, PLEASE read the description of the video. It will tell you what you are seeing, where the video was shot, and when it was shot. When there is video that I cannot pinpoint an exact time when it was shot, I will approximate. You may see video that is reduced in quality - whether it be for audio or video - and I do apologize for that. For the most part, I will try to provide the best quality video possible.

There are a LOT of videos on my channel. You can search within the channel for a specific video from a specific show or specific type. However, if you want to see videos from a particular airshow, please visit my website, Steve's Airshow World. In addition to all of the videos, you can also purchase DVDs containing these videos, as well as other video that you won't see here. Steve's Airshow World offers two different types of DVDs - aircraft-specific DVDs, which contain demonstration footage of specific aircraft at many different airshows, and airshow-specific DVDs, which are just that. In addition, you can also find airport spotting guides, airshow reports, and much more.

The video I have shot has been shot on Hitachi 8mm equipment (1999-2005), Sony Handycam Digital8 equipment (2006-2008), and Sony Handycam MiniDV equipment (2008-). Video editing is done on software that came with my computer, and is sufficient for the job. I do have plans on upgrading to a professional video camera...

In addition to airshow videos, you will see videos from spotting trips. I don't go out spotting often, because it is too expensive (think bridge tolls) and I may not have the time to do so. Any time that I am able to bring a camera up in an aircraft and shoot video will be featured here as well.

Starting in the spring of 2009, you will see videos that are not aviation-related in an way, shape, or form. I hope you will be able to enjoy those videos as much as the airshow and aviation videos. These videos may include, and are not limited to, Phillies games, sightseeing, automobiles, and a lot more.

Finally, you will occasionally see many videos on here that exceed YouTube's 10-minute limit. I, along with several select YouTube members, were fortunate enough to be able to do this under one of their programs before YouTube started prohibiting longer videos. Those who were able to upload videos longer than ten minutes in the past (like myself) can continue to do so, and I sincerely thank YouTube for allowing that to continue. Please, NO MORE QUESTIONS on how you can upload longer videos. Please don't come complaining to me that you can't upload a long video because I will not help you nor will I tell you why I can do it.
