America's Development Foundation is a U.S. nonprofit organization with 501(c)3 tax exempt status. Established in 1980, ADF is dedicated to the international development of democracy. ADF's overall approach is based on the belief that a strong civil society, comprising a diversity of autonomous economic, political, social and cultural institutions, is the indispensable foundation of sustainable democracy. ADF has a successful record helping thousands of civil society organizations strengthen democratic values, institutions and processes in over 30 countries in Southeastern Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Central America, and Africa.

Our China staff works with the China Children & Teenage Fund (CCTF) to assist children and youth impacted by the Sichuan earthquake. ADF and CCTF established the China Earthquake Relief & Reconstruction Fund for relief and long-term recovery including reconstructing orphanages and schools.
