Light of life?

in eye's. fruits of life. The breath of the all mighty.
If you look for Good and bad what fruit do you eat? if you eat life. what fruit do you eat?
Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Ephesians 5:9
(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) eat and produce.

it seems the interpretation of the parables of Jesus are hidden from the big minds, but revealed to children, and such as have been born again. Ready ? To ask Jesus into your heart ?

So...This Baha'ullah guy isnt really named bahaullha..thats just what he called himself..seems fitting eh? It is circular logic to say "I am the law because i say so"

All that is necessary to achieve equality and make the Divine accessible to all is to change the language we use and redefine and express differently a more complete idea of what the Divine is.

Yes and using the term god to express this formless concept is dis-empowering to women. I know that is difficult for those who use god as a way to express this abstract concept to understand. Especially as they do not feel or see the underlying sexism the use of the word god creates in our world. Baha'i is trying to combat such sexism by making equality of the sexes a core belief while at the same time perpetuating inequality with it's language. Using words like him, his, an he make the Divine seem more relateable, more accessable to men (the ones who founded monotheism). But by using male identity you are making The One less relatable and accessable to women and making it seem as though they would need a man (either father or husband) to access this Divinity themselves. I'm sorry that you cannot see how language influences meaning and how stating equality is much different than actually practicing it. Blessed be~

I don't believe the bible is literal (although millions do) but I do believe the story of genesis has symbolism and imagery to remove the Goddess based religions from power and existence by making all that was Divine and empowering to women evil, wrong and bad. It also removes direct contact with the Divine in this life and creates a parental archetype of punishment and reward. The book "When God Was a Woman" by Merlin Stone can give you some context of the politics of the time in which the monotheistic/abrahamic religions were being developed, instituted and forced on the people of the Goddess based religions. I'm sorry if this is contrary to your beliefs but to continue to viewThe One as separate from us or more or less than what we are is to miss the very essence of The Divine. Question your beliefs and seek truth. Even if it is not a truth you wish to know. Blessed be~

FreeAllPeople,
In the description of your concept of many gods & goddesses creating the universe, & that you actually seem to be taking the Genesis account literally, it is clear that we are not at all on the same page concerning Biblical understanding. Baha'is believe in the One True Invisible God, Who is not a man or a woman or any kind of physical being, Who cannot be known in Essence, but only through the Manifestation of Quality & Attribute.

All words fall short, but outward forms & symbols must be used to convey abstract concepts.

Peace

Furious because now his litte pets knew the truth. That there was a big world out there and he was not the all powerful god he claimed to be but a mere part of all the Goddesses and Gods that created the Universe. I am one of the others. I am not born of adam and eve. I don't see your god as all mighty and powerful but a small, mean, vindictive, controlling, manipulative being with issues. So you see men have distorted the truth of The One for their own power play. The abrahamic religions are nothing more but a way for men to control the one thing they can't do, create life. Once you've caught up on the old times and how it has shaped our modern world and the monotheistic religions please feel free to discuss this further. Thank you for your time and attention. Have a great day.

Blessed be~

If you could read the original language the bible was written in you would see that your god is but one of many who created the Universe and everything in it and that he is a rogue that deems himself better than all the other Goddesses and Gods. He even fashioned his own followers (adam and eve) that he wanted to keep ignorant so that they would blindly follow and worship only him. It was Lucifer (the light bearer or giver of light if you will) who told eve of her ignorance. She chose knowledge over ignorance, light over darkness and your so called god was furious.
