Absence Of was born from its name. Vinícius Möller's previous prog metal band Hiléia was one week from breaking up (even though he didn't know it) when he had this idea about a band called like that. So it was natural that, after Hiléia broke up, he instantly started another project.
This matched with the fact that Ektapang, another prog metal band, was about to end, so that Vinícius had success on inviting Orontes Mariani and Chantós Mariani to join his new band. Arthur Avila, who was already singing in Indryia, accepted the mic spot right after. And a few months later, Daniel Ruschel, also from Ektapang, completed the line up as bassplayer.
Absence Of is currently recording their first 4 song demo, a first effort to make their name become stronger.
