Hello Everyone - welcome to my youtube.

The latest news is that I've just wrapped on the principle shoot of feature film 'Denouement', as Becky, one of the lead characters and the love interest in the film. I now have a week before I'm off to record ADR on Schrodinger's Girl (www.schrodingersgirl.com), a sci-fi action adventure film shot earlier this year, which gave me my first lead in a feature. Thus, I have been able to chop 'Ed & Rose', a short film shot this summer in which I played the title character of Rose, into a bitesize clips video. Take a look- its beautifully shot, on 35mm colour.

Coming soon, we will have a new showreel comprising of paris clips, Schrodinger's Girl clips, Ed & Rose, The Photographer (another short) and possibly a few other bits and bobs. Also very soon there will be a redesign of www.abigailtarttelin.com going live, and look out for me in the Ones To Watch section of the November edition of Moviescope magazine.

As anyone who has visited before will know, I am an actress working mainly in indie films. Besides the aforementioned projects, this year I filmed on Philip Pullman's 'The Butterfly Tattoo' ('The Golden Compass, released this year and starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, is another Philip Pullman film) and british gangster flick 'Jack Says', starring Simon Phillips in the title role and featuring Eric Cantona, Mike Reid and Rula Lenska, which opened and was in the Official Selection of the London Independent Film Festival.

I also appeared last year in the offical selection of the LA Short Film Festival, the New York Short Film Festival, and the Strasbourg Film Festival, in 'La Geode', directed by Theresa Hong (the eighth video on the channel). Also on the channel I can also recommend 'Stress', as a video where the acting, editing and direction were highly praised. Both films were shot with support from La Femis (French National Film School) and the New York Film Academy as part of their training courses (I have a diploma from the NYFA in 'Acting for Film').

I live in central London, but have worked all over the world, and am very interested in new and innovative film, whether they are made in London or in the Congo.

My personal obsessions are french, spanish, mexican film and cult independent film, all of which have their own sections on my bookcase! Actors I admire include Marion Cotillard, Heath Ledger, Ellen Page, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Ben Foster, Penelope Cruz and Kate Winslet. I also speak intermediate french,and am learning spanish, and am looking to improve my languages and be involved in french & spanish film.
