Update 03.24.09 : I will do a new updated version once the show has finished airing in 2010. THE ULTIMATE WHAT. Hold me to it.
Update 01.29.09 : Thanks for all the kind words since this got posted back in April 2008. I made this in a few hours for my friends (who all seem to be Lost addicts) and had no idea anyone else would ever find it.
Answers to a few of the most common questions in the comments:
1. This is Season 1 - 3, as Season 4 wasn't finished airing yet when I made it. I'll do a final version once the show is done in 2010.
2. When I say I didn't spend very much time on it, I really mean it. I have people who watched me make it who can back it up. Just find the transcripts online, find the "what?", scan to it, rip it, repeat. More tedious than time consuming.
3. I'm not a big Lost fan, but I don't hate it or anything. I don't watch much TV in general. There are some things I like about the show, but I have not watched every episode all the way through. I skipped most of Season 2 and 3.
4. This isn't every single "What?" on the show, but it's close. I only used actual, confused "What?", no "huh?" or "hmm?" or any "What?"s that didn't sound perplexed. You may think you hear a "huh?" but it's your ears playing tricks on you.
5. And, yes, you can do this with lots of television shows. It's a standard television writing device. Person #1: "Important statement." Person #2: "What?" Person #1: "Repeat important statement." But it's made all the funnier with Lost because it looks like everyone runs around all confused on the island and no one actually ever answers a question with a straight answer, even if they have one. Which, you know, is true.
Anyhow, thanks for watching. Hope you're well.
