The Krebs KTR-08 is a heavy hitter when it comes to tricked out AK-47s. It starts out as a stamped receiver born in the Izhmash Russian arsenal factory. Krebs then makes the gun 922r compliant with the addition of many US made, innovative proprietary parts. Most prominent is the long Picatinny rail (Sight Receiver Rail System Krebs Catalog #51) which uses a solid ball truninon and pivot system to lock in above the stamped receiver cover. The rail is easy to un-mount and lock back in. The rail integrates excellent iron sight using an AR-15-like approach: dual aperture in back, height adjustable post up front. This sight system lengthens the radius by 60% over a regular AK. Ergonomics are greatly improved by the addition of a Krebs proprietary safety catch the transfers the actuation to the right thumb (sorry lefties). This is a huge improvement over the standard AK safety catch. Also an op handle notch is milled into the opposite side safety catch lever which can retain the operating handle, another nice feature. The Krebs forward rail is well designed and narrow, preserving the overall excellent ergonomics of the gun. Plenty of real estate is available on the rail but be careful not destroy your swing weight (discussed). The KTR also has two excellent Tapco brand upgrades: a single hook G2 trigger and pistol grip with storage compartment. The trigger releases crisply. The stock is a VLTOR retractable AR-15 compatible type with storage compartments. It helps cure the length of pull problems inherent is most AK-47s and reduces length for storage. The Styer technology hammer forged barrel is still thin (normal for type) but is fully chrome lined. The gun accepts all standard AK mags and promises to retain the excellent reliability and durability standard for the type. Accuracy is reported to be good by some users on this an updated version of Krebs previous KTR-03. Fit and finish throughout is outstanding and some of the best Ive seen in an AK. However the design has two significant downsides: its stout 8.8 pound (empty with mag attached) carry weight and its high $1400 cost (subject to change and actually more reasonable now that prices have gone up). Loaded and outfitted with optics and a light, the gun could easily top 10 pounds, approaching the 7.62x51mm semi-auto weight category. And it remains a poor value given its persistently acquisition cost and the money could be spent on some even more impressive systems. Some feel the KTR-08 deviates too far from the original high value, simple but effective AK formula in trying to mimic an AR-15. I dont agree as I am always open to innovation. This innovation in the KTR comes at a cost. If you can take the weight in your system its design overcomes several limitations on the AK design and its superbly executed. Expensive yes. Worth it? You decide. ///////////// Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 6 of 10 ////////////////// I nuked it after 155,000 views and re-uploaded this video with better images in it.

AF-3 brings students to the edge with stimulus based training in Force-on-Force and Shoot / Don't Shoot scenarios using Simunitions® FX Marker Cartridges. AF-3 is one of several new S2 programs that incorporate Simunitions® utilizing the M4/AR carbines and handgun platforms.
AF-3 Force-On-Force is a Level 2 program restricted to verified security and law enforcement professionals. AF-3 uses a variety of realistic scenarios to prepare students for engagements in urban environments. Some of the training exercises used in AF-3 include building searches, weapon retention, discretionary shooting, and movement drills including cover-to-contact.

PART 5 of 5: Nutnfancy tackling the often controversial issue of the AK-47 versus AR-15 rifle systems. The bottom line is, a quality example of either gun can serve your law enforcement, military, and "civilian sheepdog" requirements admirably. However many factors and considerations should come into play when selecting your choice. When properly maintained and lubricated, the AR-15 is very reliable contrary to many internet, forum, and magazine myths. However it does not rise to the absolute, carefree ruggedness and reliability of the AK design. Whether packed in mud, neglected for cleaning, or just plain thrashed upon, the AK shrugs it all off and continues to shuck rounds with pleasing and life-saving regularity. It is better than the AR-15 system in that regard. It also features a lightning quick and easy fieldstrip. However the AK design has many flaws which include: poorer ergonomics (like its munchkin length of pull), shorter sight radius and inferior sights, heavier magazines and ammunition, difficulty in mounting optics (less variety in application too), slower operational controls, and more recoil. But many accept these shortcomings to gain the increase in stopping power of the larger .30 caliber round. As shown in the video, this 7.62x39mm round pretty much dies after 300 yards but within its range, it hits hard and defeats obstacles much better than the smaller 5.56x45mm offering. However the AR-15 can easily be had in either a 6.5 SPC or Grendel chambering which nullifies this advantage (and the AK can be had in the 5.45x39mm load which has similar ballistics to the 5.56). Both systems enjoy adequate firepower, multitudes of accessory options, good service record (AK has better reliability record however), and similar value (subject to change). I respect the reliability, simplicity, ruggedness, and shooting fun of the AK design. For a "mud gun," it still reigns supreme. However in terms of ergonomics, its amazing versatility, the lighter weight of mags and ammo, superior accuracy, and the longer range capabilities (especially with 77 gr loads), the AR-15 is a more capable weapons system.

In my opinion the best(and creepiest) scene from Jacob's Ladder. Highly influencial to the Silent Hill games. Sh music and siren added.
Jacob Singer: Jezzie? Get me out of here. Evil Doctor: Where do you want to go? Jacob Singer: Home. Evil Doctor: Home? This is your home. You're dead. Jacob Singer: Dead? No. I just hurt my back, I'm not dead. Evil Doctor: What are you, then? Jacob Singer: I'm alive. Evil Doctor: Then what are you doing here? Jacob Singer: I don't know. [crying] Jacob Singer: This isn't happening. Evil Doctor: What *is* happening? Jacob Singer: Get me out of here. Evil Doctor: There is no out of here. You've been killed, don't you remember?
