I think they just wanted to get the stats "DAD" because his dad, Samurai Goroh, is in the game. Oh, and he's an unlockable AX racer, too, meaning, he isn't normally available in the GameCube game like he is in the arcades; you have to beat a VERY hard mission to unlock characters like him.

What a lovely start. Normally getting bumped is a good thing...

Green Plant (Spiral):
5:12 - Sometimes if a dip is really deep and you turn on it, your nose will touch the ground and cause you to skid like this.

6:25 - The blue tiles cause you to skid more easily.

This track is neat in how you go back the same way out you came in - the direction, at least.

8:57 - Heh. Sniping out your rivals is an important tactic.

Aeropolis (screw drive): Not much to say about this one. Guess I'll explain that screen before a race with the little graph. Here you can set whether your craft favors a higher acceleration or top speed. I always go for top speed because I think that if you need to worry about acceleration (due to hitting walls and the like) you are probably playing the wrong game.


Outer Space (Meteor Stream): Guess that inside track at the end is that much shorter. I normally go for the areas that give health back because I can get a free boost or two in AND leave with a new salvo.


Port Town (Cylinder Wave)
7:26 - I was going for a suicide finish, sorry. I thought I'd fly all the way to the goal, instead I dropped like a rock!

Sucker Punch! I figured his Absol had quick attack, or something, but forgot about this one! This move has really hurt me in the past. I think Sucker Punch outspeeds the other guy if he uses a move that would do damage. It's also pretty darn powerful. That's why I used Belly Drum while he was still out, and then Swagger later since they are both non-damaging moves.

Oh. And just so you know, Huntail went first after he woke up because the rain doubles his speed due to his Swift Swim ability. Surprises most of my opponents.


NOTE: "Theme Team 1" was created for fun. The movesets can, and will change. As far as I'm concerned, I'm seeing what does, and doesn't work and will later incorporate some of these Pokemon into teams that work with their style of play.

Clamperl must've been holding a Deepseatooth which doubles its Special Attack making it just slightly stronger than Alakazam. I've always wanted to see someone take advantage of that hold item!

The player must've figured that Clamperl is a little too slow to be able to take advantage of this boost in power, so incorporated Trick Room to make the especially slow Clamperl go first. Why Bronzor though? Maybe just because he could. Although Bronzong nearly quadruples Bronzor's Attack stats, their defense stats are comparable.

Dunsparce did a good job at cleaning up. Too bad about that stray bit of ice though!

Good fight. I like seeing things out of the norm!

I really dislike Focus Bands...

That Absol seemed pretty technical, so I decided to try and outpredict it! (Snatch steals moves like "Iron Defense"). More fun that way, too!

Their other two pokemon were unfortunately weak against Water. If you noticed, he/she had Flareon use Protect, that was because Rain Dance normally ends after five turns. Huntail now holds Damp Stone/Rock (extends length of Rainy Day), however, so that plan of action didn't pan out.

CHANNEL NOTE: I was thinking of making a new channel strictly for Pokemon Battles because this one is bound to get cluttered with the random stuff I intend to put on it... I'm thinking, however, that they can peacefully coexist.

Starting next week (or earlier), I'm hoping to put up one fight a day. The team is ever changing, so be sure to keep checking back!

What Smeargle did at the start dumbfounded me. I had no idea that a Smeargle could be so fast! Turned out it was a Choice Scarf, though. Using it with Trick is a pretty smart strategy! I took so long because I was actually checking out what a Choice Scarf does exactly, online (that's why the screen flickered a bit). I wasn't entirely certain I remembered it right. No, I don't check things out online in the middle of fights, normally. This was a rare exception. You'd be able to tell anyway, because the screen flickers.

Aww... he had to get a Critical Hit on my Spiritomb! I was wondering if I'd somehow survive it, despite the attack boost Garchomp had!

Well, I sure got surprised in that fight! That's always a good thing though, it means that there's still more to the game then I think. That wasn't the scariest Smeargle I've seen by the way. There was another that'd put you to sleep, Lock-on, and use Sheer Cold. It was lucky enough to hit even if you switched, too!
