Waymon Hudson is President and Co-Founder of Fight OUT Loud (www.fightoutloud.org), a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) individuals and their allies fight discrimination and hate. He is a vocal community activist and LGBT rights advocate. He is also a contributing editor for The Bilerico Project and a political columnist for the online magazine GaySoFla.com. He also is a political consultant specializing web-based action, social networking, and youth outreach.

Waymon has been one of the leaders in the fight against Mayor Jim Naugle of Fort Lauderdale and his recent string of anti-gay comments. He, as President of Fight OUT Loud, helped organize the Unity Rally at Fort Lauderdale City Hall on July 24th. He and Fight OUT Loud have been at the forefront of the efforts to isolate the mayor by urging both county and city commissioners to take action against the mayor. By being one of the most outspoken and visible leaders in the movement against the mayor (as well as other LGBT issues), he has been subject to severe anti-gay backlash, such as hate-mail, threatening phone calls, and even physical confrontation and threats.

Waymon, 28, has been happily partnered for 6 years with his husband Anthony Niedwiecki. They received their civil union from Vermont and are registered domestic partners in Broward County. He also is the proud foster parent of a now college-aged son.
