Founded in 1988, WCAI is the Washington, DC-based trade association for the wireless broadband industry.

Founded in 1988, the Wireless Communications Association International (WCAI) is an international, nonprofit, technology-neutral trade association whose members comprise the entire wireless broadband ecosystem. We represent service providers, equipment manufacturers, application developers and other contributors to the wireless broadband industry. Our activities include information exchange, and advocacy before Congress, the Executive Branch, the Federal Communications Commission and international regulatory bodies. WCAI also organizes several events each year showcasing the latest trends in wireless broadband technology and regulation.

The mission of WCAI is to advance economic opportunity for the wireless broadband industry worldwide.

WCAI is a technology-neutral trade association that seeks to establish governmental environments favorable to the wireless broadband industry. WCAI also collects and disseminates relevant economic and regulatory information, establishes and enhances industry best practices, and increases public awareness of the industry's products and services.
