Ah,a sarcastic Utopian cynic.
You ridicule conventional energy sources then go on to ridicule new green efforts because their development comes at a cost; what viable option do you think that leaves us with? What's really sad is that your videos are reinforcing and exacerbating longstanding hatred and bigotry towards mainlanders. You're tainting people, people create solutions, you're tainting solutions. These extremist attitudes and videos are just making things worse. Good Job. |

I was born here and I've lived my whole life on Kaua'i. You have an amazing point! So why don't you become part of the solution and move your pretentious self back to the mainland? You want to point the finger at anyone other than yourself so that hopefully we wont notice YOU.

This video is compelling and disturbing in a good way. It reveals the gut level politics of the land, food, and water - so vital to us all - but so easily forgotten in the mad rush of our daily lives.
What native Hawaiians are doing here is remembering what makes us human and standing up, for themselves of course, but also for all of us because they have the courage to resist the onslaught of commercial agricultural technologies that are turning our world upside down. In case you have not noticed, you no longer have a choice about what you eat. Mahalo nui loa for all who say no to GMO, and the farmers who save their seed, and along with it, our lives. Take the culture out of agriculture and all you'll have left is agribusiness! |
