The five singles released from the True Blue Album reached the number 1 in the UK or the US singles chart. "Papa Don't Preach" was number 1 in UK and US, "Open Your Heart" and "live to Tell" were number 1 in The US and "La Isla Bonita" and "True Blue" reached number one in the Uk list.
