Nobuyuki Tsujii-2009 Cliburn Gold Medalist

While there were many outstanding moments at the 2009 Cliburn Competition, the announcement of 21 year old pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii as one of two gold medalists will long be remembered as a highlight. A star in his native Japan since childhood, Mr. Tsujii has been universally praised for his heartfelt performances and innate musicality. Although he has been blind since birth, Mr. Tsujii often confirms his belief that "there are no barriers in the field of music." His Cliburn Concerts debut is among the select engagements he performs in the United States this Season.
