Personally, I think the song quite fits with Final Fantasy. Zack is breaking away from earth to fly off on his new-found wings; Vincent is breaking away from Lucrecia (in my opinion); Cloud is breaking away from both Aerith and Zack and Sephiroth would probably do whatever it takes to reach the sky (in other words, make Jenova rule over the planet *insert evil laughter here*). For Yuna and Tidus it's hard to breakaway from each other, because Tidus has to return to Zanarkand, but without Yuna.
