It's 1994 and unknown to these bright-eyed youths the party ( the mythical ' Avon Free Festival' or 'Red Herring Rave' as it became known ) has long been busted by the cops. If the festival even existed or not becomes a forgotten fact as the five get lost in ancient Avalon instead.

The Abingdon airfield bust, on the evening that the Criminal Justice Act passed into law. Also shows parties at the squatted Parkway cinema, which is now Camden Odeon, London, charging a £9 entry fee. Also the Labenski Most site in Prague, Czech Republic which was busted by trigger happy security gaurds the following morning. There's some additional footage of a 'Total Resistance' site party at dawn in Torre Del Mar, Spain. Filmed and edited in 1994-'95 as part of the 'Disorderly TV' VHS that I distributed free at parties back in the day.

Starts with colour footage of a rave in Massif Central, France '94 and 'Kill The Bill' demos '95. The rest of this '95 edit ( filmed with a security camera recording on Video8 and put together on an A/B roll sVHS system ) is shot at Hostomice, Czech Republic, following the MiG party the previous year. Soundtrack again taken from an old mix tape.

Shot on surveillance camera and edited in '95 with a soundtrack from an old audio cassette - this features a party at a squatted airfield close to where the Brits originally split the atom. it was busted almost immediately. There's some footage of Desert Storm's rig that they drove down from Glasgow in their all-in-one transit van. Other footage features the nightclub in Featherstone St, Shoreditch which we squatted for months.

Warehouse party in Underwood Street, London. It was shot on a mini single chip surveillance camera (black and white) with sound via a cheap mic, recording onto the Video 8 format. I shot and edited it 1994 with tunes from DJ mixes I had on audio cassette. Cheap and cheerful! The guys on the roof set up a pirate radio antenna and transmitted the music from the main rig.

I found this VHS next to a rat's nest on a farm in central France 10 years ago, covered in dirt and cigarette burns. The writing on the label is unintelligible, but basically it catalogues the journey of the Soviet MiGs that the Spirals & Mutoids transported across Europe.
The 'Lost Tribe of MiG' introduce this mash-up of Spiral Tribe & Mutoid Waste footage to the tune 'Forward The Revolution'....

This was the first Teknival to go ahead after the Criminal Justice Act was passed in 1995. It was busted of course, thought the police didn't use the new CJA laws to do so. It ran for a couple of days next to an American air force base in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, England before it was busted on V.E. day.
