Unified for UNIFAT is an organization dedicated to helping the children of Uganda, especially the students served by the Upper Nile Institute For Appropriate Technology (UNIFAT). Unified is the affiliation of Cincinnati high school students, both public and private, that work directly with the non-profit Friends of UNIFAT.
The organization is purely student run, with students from Moeller High School, Mt. Notre Dame, Fairfield, Mason, Purcell Marian, Sycamore, Loveland, and Madeira High School; all dedicating their time, energy, and resources to raise awareness and money to help keep the UNIFAT school running and to keep the children safe from abduction by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). The founder of UNIFAT, Abitimo Odongkara, single handedly built this school and works countless hours to keep it going. She is 71 years old.
