Uhhm, OK, of course I am really playing this.
As for the terminology, Xylophone merely means an instrument that makes sound from wood. Which this isn;t. Glockenspiel means "play bells or set of bells, so is close to accurate.
The true technical term is crystallophone for an instrument making so...
