Adam Barron talks about Anais Nin for Anais Nin @ 105 at the Hammer Museum. Organized by Steven Reigns Adam is the son of Bebe Barron. Bebe Barron is, with the late Louis Barron, an American pioneer in the field of electronic music. They are credited with writing the first electronic music for magnetic tape and the first entirely electronic film score for Forbidden Planet. In 1949, the Barrons recorded a full version of Nin's House of Incest and four stories from Under a Glass Bell. These recordings were pressed on red vinyl and released on the Barrons' Contemporary Classics record label under the Sound Portraits series. They also scored three of Ian Hugo's short experimental films based on the writings of his wife, Anais Nin. The most notable of these three films were Bells of Atlantis (1952) and Jazz of Lights (1954). Bebe was friends with Nin in New York and continued their friendship when both of them lived in Los Angeles. Bebe frequently visited Anais in her Silverlake home and chose Nin to be godmother to Bebe's son Adam. Filmed by Ian Mackinnon
