Gladiatores is a school for historical european martial arts. Students are teached in the almost forgotten fencing arts of the 14. - 17. century, which differ vastly from the fencing sport of today.
We are based in the city of Karlsruhe, Germany, but we have some schools and training groups in other places too: München, Jena, Pforzheim, Freiburg, Schlanstedt and Villach(Austria). If you are interested in learning the art of historical fencing, you can also visit our weekend workshops.
Our training is comparable to asian martial arts (like e.g. Karate or Kendo). We use blunt training weapons made of steel or sometimes wood, and wear standard sportswear, mostly without protective gear. The funny medieval clothes are only used for some of the videos you can watch here on youtube ;)

finde das ziemlich cool was ihr so amcht. Eine Frage habe ich zu eurem "Langes Messer" Video: Warum könnt ihr in eure eigene Klinge greifen? Bei den Zeichungen sieht man das besonders dass da einer voll in seine Klinge greift. Warum?

Ich liebe eure Videos. Auch wenn ich mir manchmal ein wenig Slow motion wuenschen wuerde, ist es eine hervorragende Demonstration von Techniken die auch zum nutzen inspirieren. Ich lebe zur Zeit in England und bin Mitglied unseres Historischen Schwertkampf Klubs hier und wollte fragen ob ich eure Videos zur Demonstration fuer unsere Neulinge nutzen darf? Natuerlich mit Rueckverweis auf euch.
